Why has this not happened?

I was in NYC for my birthday last January (almost a year ago lol) and you told me to get to a certain bar for drinks and shits, but I was on the other side of the city and wasn't able to.

Odds are you were drunkposting at the time, the true way to enjoy ILF.

I'm not a major poster (although I lurk here everyday) but in the time I've spent here I have had so much useful advice about building pedals, recording things, not breaking things and also just getting lovely compliments about the weird sounds I make (with guitars that is. Not the other weird sounds). There are many people who have helped me find a place where people are genuinely interested in listening to and creating things that are different and do not fall into mainstream boredom and don't have elitist cliques. Thank you for all being wonderful and long may you continue. Particular thanks to Ugly Nora, Chankgeez, Crochambeau, Eat Your Guitar, Bare Mountain, Goroth, Ugly Casanova, Eivind, Uncle Bob/ Grandfather and anyone else who has helped or amused me along the way, sorry if I forgot your name!

I don’t post a ton, but I come to ILF every day to just see what people are talking about. So I still feel like a bit of an outsider looking in, but I’ve enjoyed all my interactions, all the trades in BST, and most of the flame wars between people who can’t help but talk past each other because we are on the internet. So, what I’m saying is, good job ILF peeps.

This thread is so much goodness. I'd been kinda staying away from General because of the negativity but I think this thread reaffirms why so many of us (including me) are here.

I never really thought a gear forum would be cause to travel around the world, meet new people, and totally transcend what I expected. I'm not gonna list everyone but I wanna shout out all the awesome folks I have met in person purely via ILF. We may not all share the same opinions but you are all awesome people and that's what makes this world interesting anyway. Much love to you all.

So I was not active for a while (not that I ever have been particularly active but like not even lurking like the creep I am) and what has gone down? This place always seemed so nice even when people were being salty. Which is surprising for any male dominated space.(In my experience at least, although I usually don't get along great with guys)
