Yea man, it sounds cool. Hopefully I'll get to play with it more tonight and maybe make a little video for it. Good jobPeterBregman wrote:affectperdals wrote:Just got mine in the mail and have been playing with it for about 30 minutes. It's pretty damn gnarly. I'm close to getting a cool trem sound out of it (like the one you posted in Instagram). Thanks man, wicked little noise box here!![]()
The trick to the trem is to turn on Multiply and set Edges to ~ 1:00, Expanse to ~11:00, and mess with your guitar volume. It's a tricky lil' fella, but it's worth finding.
PeterBregman wrote:I've never heard the gristleizer, but the "tabla" setting is pretty click-y. You can change the "tempo" and tonality on the fly with the various knobs. It doesn't really sound like a tabla (unless you put something like a Yellowcake Lida Machine after it).D.o.S. wrote:Anyone want to help a mogwai out?D.o.S. wrote:Interested to hear how the tabla setting compares to something like the gristleizer as far as no input tone generation is concerned.
Hope that helps![]()
P.S. The HEQ1 is sold out.
(for now)
Hey where did you see a manual for one? Mine didn't come with it.JonnyAngle wrote:I got mine yesterday and had time to go through all the "suggested presets"
Normally, I'm a little leery to try stock presets because some douche who worte the manual has no clue what he's talking about. HEQ1 presets, are quite good.
Did some of the clicks with particle. Will record clips tonight and upload later tonight or tomorrow

Hot damn, thanks dude!Chankgeez wrote:PeterBregman wrote:'cause you're all pretty rad, here's a sneak peak at the manual: https://www.tastemakeraudio.com/heq1
Could be, there was a few teeth marks and a bullet hole in the back.Ugly Nora wrote:I think yours is broken.

Seriously though. They didn’t send me one. Bitches.
Either the pedal is smaller than I imagined or you have strangely oversized hands. It any case it sounds awesome. I was trying to get an AM radio sounding, super gated fuzz out of my Chunky Cheese the other night but this just nailed the sound was I was hearing in my head. I wish I could get these weird sounds out of my head sometimes.affectperdals wrote:I made a super quick clip with it in case anyone is interested. I just used one loop so I'm sure there's a lot more sounds you can get out of it. Maybe I'll make a proper video one day but this is all I got for now. The beginning is just my clean sound, then a bunch of knob turning, the middle section is pretty cool... WARNING: The end is just oscillation madness so be careful if you have on headphones.
