Oh no it was definitely worded poorly, I was typing it getting ready for work. And I can sense the sarcasm ;-)
 I'm really not a sarcastic person. If you look at what I posted in this thread it was just stupid shit. None of it was an attack on what you wrote or even related for the most part. Just being silly.

It's like I woke and it's suddenly Christmas.

Here to say my Matchless is not sensitive, is all man, runs on beef blood and only sounds good with $22 pedals.

SharkTooth can spin yarns about 12XA7s though. Just ask.

Not everybody wants to hear the same thing when it comes to the sound coming out of their speakers. :idk:

No, and this thread was a great example of how we aren’t all looking for that. Some of us are looking for Siq Toanz, others just want to see how much noise they can make, and some just want to play their guitar and really don’t care. I’m not bashing what anyone wants to do with their guitar, stick it up your ass and strum it with your toes if you want. I’m interested in a guitar players theory behind their sounds. Some people here don’t have any and that was very apparent, and that’s fine because getting sucked into how and why your Guitar makes the sounds it does and how it’s affected by even the smallest things is obsessive and probably not good for my health. This isn’t the place for that so I’ll just come here to help everyone jerk off to ezhi&aka pedals and stick my finger in the butthole of Industrialectric. I’m a part of that too I guess...

I believe that if I spend more money I'll play better. And that's why I have a Matchless.

There's loads of constructive pedal board talk on here and loads of us love talking signal path.

You're just, you know, not nearly as gear-savvy as you think you are, and that's kind of obvious from your posts about gear.

2) Your analog/digital pedal mash-ups- Something I see a lot of is the flaunting of analog or analog signal path pedals. I for one am a huge fan of these types of pedals and quality builds. For slight background on me, I was a straight signal path kinda guitar player with no pedals for a long time and always wanted a great tone from my amp and still do. I’ve always been huge on my amps and Guitar pickups so adding pedals I needed ones that conserved my tone... so for me I won’t put digital pedals on my board. I play with hand wound pickups into anpoint to point I guitar head. I have pedals with PCB and obv you need to but none of them are digital, I don’t want my analog signal path being effected. I understand for a lot of you noise makers that this isn’t really an issue for you but my question isn’t really for you guys. My question is for the people spending a ton of money on their gear, who have spent thousands of dollars on your Guitar Amps pushing digital pedals into them. Why? Why would you put so much into your direct signal and distort it with digital effects? Again this isn’t me calling you out, it’s me simply asking your reasoning behind this. Also to add onto this, besides digital pedals I see a lot of “lesser quality brands” on pedalboards with really amazing pedals on them. Besides the function of what it’s doing, can you not hear the lesser quality of the product, say EHX for example... ok go!

3) Pickups- I see some of you swap your pickups out. One thing I don’t understand is the Duncan and Dimazario crowd. You’re spending a ton of money on pickups yet you’re not even getting handwounds. What you’re buying isn’t much better than the stock pickups that came in your Guitar. Yes Duncan did do scatterwound at some point but the majority of the production now are machine wound. Are you just comfortable going with what you know and not venturing out? There are so many great scatterwound pickup makers, you’ve already gone deep into the boutique pedal world, why not go deep into the pickup world and make a bigger difference on your Guitar tone? And yes I am saying scatter wound is better than machine would and I don’t think that’s arguable haha.
Like real talk these are two of the dumbest things about gear I have ever read.

Let the record show I have owned ONE tube amp in my life (I still have it) and it has 3 12AX7 preamp tubes (not 12XA7).

Quite honestly, I would much prefer one of those older shitty solid state Peavey practice amps. I would have served my purposes wonderfully and probably would have been 1/5th of the price.

By the way, 12AX7...developed in NJ! Woo hooo! In Camden

No I just do t have the time to make 27,000 posts about gear like you. I can crush you in gear knowledge, you don’t know me at all... you’re basing this off me asking about boost pedal recommendations because I never had to use one, and the fact that multiple people in that thread suggested multiple different things on placement, you’re really bitter over that huh. I’ve only posted on here for suggestions and this is the first time I’ve actually sat through a thread, it’s easier to ask then read through a zillion nonsense posts till I find what I’m looking for to be honest.

This just means your amp isn't expensive enough.
I'd actually tend to agree with this in a way. Not on the money side but perhaps the quality side. A good amp won't change character that much when using a digital process versus an analog.

Or your amp isn’t sentive enough to be affected by it. I play a Matchless and it’s as sensitive as half the personalities on this thread. It changes drastically by anything I move around on my board. I consider this to be a good thing. It loves pedals but I can hear noticeable differences in the things I move around or pickups in my Guitar.
Did you even read my previous post where I responded to your question!

Never heard of Matchless but I see they’ve been around since 89.

That being said, care to post a video of a digital versus an analog pedal on your amp? I’ve never noticed a difference on any amp I’ve owned.

i think it's also just a matter of being able to share an opinion without sounding like you're shitting on what other people like. Which was not done, and was deservedly shat on in return. And I quite enjoyed.

I think part of posting on forums is anticipating how fellow forumites are going to react to what you've written.

How did you think this topic would go over?

If not this, what direction did you hope it would take?
