I use it for a lot of sustain and trying emulate a Derek Bailey type of tone - not any fun for noisecore!

I own a Boss CS-2 and a Milk Box and I go back and forth between which one I like better. The Milk Box is definitely more “extreme” squishy so it gets used more frequently. I’ve been using it with a BOSS Bass EQ and really liking the non-distorted sound from that with my bass.

@retinal solid collection

On a different note, I got my hands on a supercheap Bifet boost recently (saw it and remembered ghost Hip demoing the Pest Tattern with that buffer switch) and it actually surprised me a lot.

Got a death metal, I understand now, shit's ridiculous.

Also those DOD footswitches are great for punching in a table top setup.

I'm trying to think of how a compressor would help give you a Derek Bailey tone. Not saying it can't, I just can't quite imagine it. On electric he would manipulate his attack and decay with a volume pedal, so I guess a squishy compressor could approximate an aspect of that...?

I've used the Milk Box a ton over the years, but I'm using it in a feedback rig to manage dynamics a bit and I haven't had as much experience using it in more typical applications. I had an Empress compressor for a while but decided I was happier with the Milk Box.

Any of you pus-brains have the Grunge²? Two Grunge circuits plus a pitch shifter! The perfect combination, as heard on all of the greatest grunge hits! I give it two faces down, two butts up.
