Modular is cool, just not for me. I find the idea, looks, and sounds to be quite enticing, but it just doesn't fit with my workflow. Anyway I like modular but not as a stand alone thing. That gets way too wanky for my tastes way too quickly.

That said. For what I do the couple of rack pieces I have are really rad and interface well with the samples/recordings/computer noises, etc.

For the record, it wasn't originally intended as a burn. I worked with autistic kids for years and have someone close to me who has the same diagnosis. I was simply stating the conclusion to my observation of someone who has emphatic issues, along with other traits, such as anxiety/depression, collecting/hoarding/limited and intense interests. While the conclusion may or may not be right is irrelevant when the traits are blatantly obvious from reading his posts across the forum. Genuinely believing that anyone can throw money around for gear as long as they pull themselves up by their bootstraps is plain ol' 1930s American dreamy ignorance. The capitalist model is darwinian, and someone/most people are bound to end up on the bottom, no matter how much they put into it. So, while I may have gone overboard playing phychologist or whatever, the fact remains the same; UG is being ignorant and instead or reflecting and reiterating himself he just shrugs his shoulders and carries on. Fine by me, but I don't and won't regret pointing it out, because I find it obnoxious.
