I'm glad you feel that way! That $25 over "normal" price is the venue cut. Which I had forgotten even existed until like 2 days ago when Boris' manager told us. So, that's why everything is a little extra at big shows.

Oh yeah I totally agree, I think it's shitty. I'll go out on a limb and say that bands don't get a cut of the bar sales at the venues, so why should it go both ways?

Bigger bands might get a cut of the bar. It all depends on who holds the power in the relationship.

I never saw Boris in their heyday, so I was pretty stoked this time around.

Yeah dude it was great to see you too. Shame that as soon as FOH figured out their mix my friend/ride was like "we're out" but that's how it goes. I'm sure we'll be at another show soon
