Re: Unpopular album opinions
Heres some unpopular opinions:
BIG BUSINESS consistently puts out better albums on their own than the MELVINS albums they play on. And thats saying something because i really like those melvins albums.
YOUNG MACHETES was better than BURN.

I wanted to post more here but I don't know enough about other's opinions to know what's unpopular.
I hold off from talking about music outside the Internet because once I start...

Re: Unpopular album opinions
There are a few albums I like that I know are unpopular or are considered lesser in the scope of the overall discography but that's not because I think they are "better" than the more appreciated works. Rather they just came along at a time where they fit into my life really well and I got something out of them that the majority might not have. That's not an opinion though, just a bit of serendipity.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are better than their individual bands combined.
The first two Slipknot records are very good.
Fortress > Kezia
Get Behind Me Satan is the best White Stripes record.
Ø (Disambiguation) is the best Underoath record.

Re: Unpopular album opinions
Here's one that's gonna get me flamed. Well, three. A trinity. A triptych, if you will.
A) Incubus actually have a ton of good albums.
B) The best Incubus albums are better than any RHCP albums (if we're comparing bro funk "metal" bands).
C) They got better when they ditched funk metal and started making indie rock. Make Yourself and A Crow Left of the Murder are amazing.
Corollary opinion,
D) I don't give a shit what any of you think about me liking Incubus.

Question: think we'll see a new album soon?

Kezia is better as a record, but some of the songs on Fortress are better than any song on Kezia.Fortress > Kezia

This is blasphemy and the first opinion expressed in this thread that actually offended me. Congrats.Get Behind Me Satan is the best White Stripes record.

Absolutely, agreed. Aaron is a supernaturally talented drummer, but his songwriting was holding their songwriting back, at that point. It wasn't always so; the two records before that were incredible, too. But I think once they ditched verse/chorus/verse they went up in quality.Ø (Disambiguation) is the best Underoath record.

I'm with you on Incubus, though I prefer the pre-Ben Kenney records.
And, no, I don't think we'll ever see a new UO album. Hopefully, if we ever do, it won't involve Aaron. Daniel Davison's drumming was such a heavy part of that album and is so fundamentally different from Aaron's.

But I need to clarify: I really do love Aaron's drumming. I have the Survive, Kaleidoscope DVD and it's hypnotic. He is the Phil Collins of Christian metalcore. That is 110% a compliment.
