That's a pretty cool trade, I had a bassman like that for a while. Be aware though, they compress and get distorted really early as well.archlilim wrote:So I've decided 50 watts isn't going to cut it. Love the Sound City, but it definitely compresses too much at high volumes for what I'm looking for (shoulda known, but I definitely don't regret trading for it). Had someone offer me a 1968 Bassman 100 (non-master) for the SS. I've wanted one for a while so I'm tempted. What do you guys think?
Oh really? I'd heard they were super clean at high volumes, hmm.BoatRich wrote:That's a pretty cool trade, I had a bassman like that for a while. find a sucker that will trade a nmv v4 + cash for it
Sad to hear about the Sound City. If I had something worthy of trading I'd maybe consider it.archlilim wrote:Oh really? Kinda tempted just to get another Beta or maybe a Concert Lead. I'm so satisfied with my Beta Bass. Just need something to stack it with.
If you can grab that V4 that's what I would do for sure. I just sold my bassman to get one.archlilim wrote:Oh really? For sure. The name alone will make it desirable.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Well at the very least you have some awesome tradebait.
