That quote is essentially TGP in a nutshell. TGP=sheep.

Also tons of guys wondering how to fit a Space, BigSky, and H9 all on their gargantuan P&W boards lol.

Man, this is really stretching the bounds of my, "Don't spend more than $200 on a pedal," rule.

I generally spend recklessly but I am funding my amp as well.

For real tho, I dig. I think what sold me on this pedal is that I already love the Bluesky, and I actually like some of the new modes. on the Bluesky I dont use spring or room much and generally its all plate 24/7. I dug Magneto, Cloud, and Bloom on the new one a lot. Also that cab sim was a good add on.

This is a terrible rule. SO much good stuff out there. Your new rule should be: don't spend more than $300, unless it's Moog or Strymon

I anticipated this sort of response. I mean, there are people on there that seem so helpless and/or clueless that I don't understand how they breathe independently, let alone use a keyboard, and they are shelling out ridiculous sums of money on gear and asking inane questions about it. However, there are still some very nice people, good tourboxes, decent discussions and good gear deals tucked into the forest of shit. So it's a worthwhile (albeit still annoying) site for me, but admittedly it's not as jampacked with good folks as ILF.

A side note. Beyond creating some really amazing pedals, the Strymon crew is the nicest bunch of dudes. Back when the Timeline was just about to be released and shit was crazy over there, I actually emailed 'em with a trade offer + cash for a Timeline haha. Rather than completely ignore my email which I totally expected, they replied with a detailed response about how they already had a few pedals I was offering and had no real interest in the rest. And this was during the madness of the initial Timeline preorder/release. TGP had to be up their ass with emails and phone calls all day every day during that time but they were still gracious enough to politely decline.

Oh, and they just did that Strymon Social deal, pretty cool when builders hang out and talk/demo gear and drink beer and eat food and all the rest. I mean, inviting TGP to your home to hang out?!?! Hats off to those guys.

That's cool. If nothing else, Strymon folks must have the patience of saints with the shit they must have to put up with from people, and the same goes for all manufacturers, dealers, and otherwise sellers of gear. I mean fuck, the punishers I had to deal with working in retail or food service were bad enough, gear punishers are on a different level.

Both food and gear related customer care have got to top the list as some of the absolute hardest to manage without losing your goddamn mind!
