Yeah I'm not going to pretend I'm so awesome at guitar it's only my tools that are failing, but I usually use a fuck ton of reverb and make loops more for ambient droning than rhythmic patters, and the swashes of sound really do not "level out" when the loop hits - moving the looper to the middle of the board definitely helps even this out. and then maybe I'll use the DD7 at the end for a second looper :p
Yeah, if you are hitting it with reverb, at a minimum i'd put it ahead of that. That reset in the reverb decay is always going to sound too hard or too much like a hiccup.
I've always placed my looper at the end of my chain after tons of reverb/delay. If you can find a way to play through thing you want to loop once and then loop it, the delay trails usually even out pretty well with the loop.

Also, are there any loopers that allow you to record two loops, but you can record either loop for as long as you want? Say you record a short loop and you want to record a second loop that's longer than the first, but the looper keeps them both in-sync.

It seems like the best option might be to get two jamman express loopers and then using jamsync I can record either loop for as long as I want. I can't tell of that's how the jamsync function works, though... Does the boomerang do this?

Are there any loopers that let you manually adjust the speed of the loop like the DMM Harazai? I love this feature to slow things down just where I want them, and I've grown so attached to this thing, but my brother (whom I've borrowed it from) might want it back. I know the Ditto x2 can do half speed, but I want to manually adjust the time.

I also have a delaylab, but I find the DMM w/ Harazai so much more useful.

With JamSync, the slave loop can be any integer multiple of the master loop. So if your master loop is 8 beats, the slave can be 8,16,24... up to 10 minutes long. The slave loop(s) can't be shorter than the master. If you want more functionality (saving loops, etc), the Solo XT also has JamSync and can sync up with other Expresses or Solos. This might be something you'd want to try in a music store first.

Oh yeah well IIIIIIIIII wish there was a looper that sounded like the El Capistan's looper but like in Ditto form. I'm sure most of "the market" would scoff at that, but it would be great to have a (probably digital) looper that could emulate a tape looper, without all the extra bullshit. Maybe one knob for a bit of modulation. I rarely bothered with the delay stuff when I had an El Cap, but I loved the looper (it was annoying to use, but sounded wonderful).

So yeah when is there going to be a digital tape looper?

You can record loops of different lengths with the Vox Lil Looper.

Since getting rid of our bass player, I loop quite a bit before a solo part. I used a DD20 for a long time, then a DL4 briefly. Now I'm dedicated to my Delaylab for looping. The only thing I miss about the DD20 is the countdown it would give you.

All my looping needs have been fulfilled by the ditto x2. I can switch the toggle with my toe but that switch is so tiny, Im afraid I may bend or break it. It feels and sounds like I can create a more seamless loop with this than any other looper Ive owned. I think my more accurate timing/seamless loops are because of the switch. The DL4 I owned had soft switches but these tc switches are great. Sensitive, it barely needs to be tapped. Love it.

Is there a looper that I can sync to a click, coming from a cell phone or something?! I would need a way to let my drummer ear the loop on his headphones.

If it can save some loops, and do the dl4 half time thing it would be great.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: with more stuff involved (Laptop) this is possible with some loopers. E.g. Ehx, echoplex (oberheim & Gibson), lexicon jamman.
Somehow the New shit is lacking in Sync aspects Badly.

I think it doesn't work properly on the pigtronix, and I don't think the boomerang does that. Didn't know the looperlative existed, it seams to be the looper I've always wanted! I just need to know if i can trigger pre-recorded loops witch the extra buttons being used for something else without bending over, and I'll buy one.
