Hey this got started fast while I wasn't looking! I can't say that I listen to a huge amount of doom (though I love Sleep) but playing it? Daaaamn.

it's hard to describe my attitude towards doom/sludge/postmetal/drone stuff
but i'd say it is a very important part of my musical taste, i absolutely respect it and sometimes i just put a few pedals on and worship the heavy decay of the notes
to me, it's ridiculously important given the fact i play absolutely different music...
...even though there might be a doomy/sludgey track coming this year, featuring me and Bassus

MAXIMUM BRUTALITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
AND...DOOMY TWANG.
So heavy man. Like two pounds.
Srsly though, even though I gave up on music yesterday, I discovered today that Big Spider into Blowing Up (at any volume level) into Valve Junior (at any volume level) sounds freaking amazing.
Also, dimed and in mid-mode is the only way to run the Spider. A custom one-stomp no-knob enclosure wouldn't go amiss.

Pretty much. A lot of those early- and mid- zero records seemed like they fell out of the sky expressly to hit my pleasure centers.
But, like most other genres, it seems like everyone and their grandmother has a doom/stoner/psych-rawk(!) band now. And the gear is expensive as shit... which defeats the whole fucking purpose.
PORPOISE.

Yeah, I mean the whole scene is still pretty tiny overall--I dropped a Jerusalem reference the other day in a room full of people who had no idea what it was, and had a shocking moment whereupon it crushed down that not everyone lives in a cannabinated aerospace pressurized by slow and low vibrations.
But fuck that noise, these new bands all suck (except the ones that don't).
