not sure how rare these are but it simply looks insane.

That thing closed for almost $1600!!!! Damn!

Yeah, that's pretty cool. I wish some builder (besides EHX) would make a good flanger with a filter matrix mode. I think I've said in another thread, if you zero out all the controls on a flanger and then use a short delay after it it creates a sort of faux reverb. I never actually use dedicated reverb. So, it's a pretty handy trick.

I like the old Ross and MXR flangers for being able to blend out the sweep. Endless halls of clanging metal noise. WIN WIN WIN.

Yeah, those were the last pedals added to the Lovetone line. I think they're probably the rarest of the Lovetones.

I love flangers. I love old flangers. I love the variety of flangers. For whatever reason, there seems to be more variation from company to company & from model to model in flangers than in most other types of effects. (Does that even make sense? I think my brain's been flangered. I think you guys know what I'm talking about.)

How is the Deluxe Electric Mistress? I had the stereo and it just didn't gel with my rig. Also, any one ever use any of the MXR series (Micro, 4 knob, EVH).

Cody-Pole, are you still having problems with your Vortex? I think you have to update the firmware in the pedal each time before loading a new TonePrint. At least that's what I did and it seemed to work. IDK?

I like the Deluxe better than the Stereo Electric Mistress. (I've only played a vintage Deluxe, not one of the re-issues.) I used to own a stereo Mistress and didn't gel with it either. I like big flangers, I don't like those teensy weensy ones. Gimme lots o' knobs and control over as many parameters as possible and shit like that. The 4 knob MXR is pretty nice as well. (Again a vintage one, not a re-issue.) Haven't tried any of the newer pedals. I'm kinda interested in the Hartman Analog Flanger which is supposedly a clone of the original Electric Mistress using higher quality components. My only qualms are that it's expensive and it really adds nothing in terms of features to the original formula. If I'm gonna be paying that much money I'd like it to be doing more cool shit, but I think it's one of the only boutique flangers currently in production that has a filter matrix mode. IDK?

The Jack Deville Mod Zero also seems pretty versatile. I'm not sure it can do filter matrix (I don't know if that's important to you.) and it's also kinda pricey. It seems like you'd be able to get a ton of tones out of that box though. And Dr. Scientist is working on a flanger, isn't he?

Analog Delay.

And I can't beleive no one's mentioned the A/DA (or at least not enough that I missed it).

Oh, well. Maybe after Ryan's done with the delay, he'll tackle the flange.

Yep, the A/DA's a classic for sure. Probably the standard. I've never owned one though. I'd love to. I'd love a Mu-Tron flanger, while we're at it, as well.

You should contact TC Electronic, if you haven't already. Maybe you got a bum pedal or something. If there's nothing wrong with the pedal, they could possibly tell you what you're doing wrong or if you have an iPhone maybe you can update the firmware that way. :idk: Good luck. Lemme know how it goes.

I'll probably contact them, I've got alot going on at home at the moment so it will be awhile.

You should contact them. I've heard that if you've got a problem they'll send out the TWAT (TC Away Team, which consists of Tore, PGS Andy and Steve Stevens to troubleshoot it.) Oh, no, I guess the acronym for that would be TCAT. Not as much fun, but :idk: . Still, it'd be pretty nice to have those guys come over and fix your pedal. Good luck with things on the home front until then.

There's a TC Vortex in B/S/T right now.

Someone should buy it, then we can talk more flange.

Might as well post this in the Flanger thread too.

so apparently this is what the "hypnotic" mode on the Rocktron Hypnotic Flanger is supposed to do.

I had this awesome flanger and was able to really cop those baracuda tones as well as some nice acid freak outs with the take off switch!
