The foot print of it is huge but the new XO version sounds lame and looks trashy.
It should have looked like this and been the same size as a Black arts size pedal.
I did a visual mock up to show you how I mean. Is that possible?

I would buy this like a shot! The mode button needs text and it is just a cut and paste job but looks pretty sweet.

Good god!!! that looks so much better.

Saw this today, Bill Ruppert's short demo. Now this is how it's supposed to sound! :thumb:
My replacement should arrive any day now...

"Here are some sample settings and sounds for EHX XO Polychorus pedal.
There is a blank template as well to record your own settings.
The video is at the bottom."

I think that's a wise plan of action.

What was the eventual outcome? I too had the XO version of the Polychorus and my unit also emitted a loud whine if the delay knob went beyond about a third on the dial. Sounded good other than that though! Has the problem now been rectified?

I had that whine problem with the big box version too. Now I just cop reasonable imitations of the crazy chorus/delay sounds with the pitchfactor.

SPOILER : show
Bill Ruppert secretly wishes he worked for Eventide.

My Big Box Polychorus had the same problem, I sold it, then I bought a XO polychorus, same sounding, same problem, I sold it immediatly to a Nirvana addict. A very shitty pedal, flanger was weak and useless, chorus was uncontrallable, doubletrack and filter matrix were useless too. For the price there are many alternative in the market! I started my pedal addict career like a EHX fanboy, now I totally hate this company.

EHX couldn't resolve the issue so I bought a Cosmichorus v3 and called it a day. Blows ass they couldn't get it right because my original big box reissue Poly was calibrated perfectly with zero whine/noise until you hit the most extreme control settings. I fucked up selling that one.

Either way, all good now as the XO only needed to get me through until Dr. Scientist released the v3. Prefer that pedal by a long shot cuz it can do all the weird noisemaking shit plus insanely lush chorus, flange, and vibe sounds. Love it!

This post sums up my feelings on the Polychorus and EHX as a whole.

Only EHX I own now days is my POG and POG2 cuz there's nothing else close enough. Beyond that, I could give a fuck about anything they do now days but seems like they couldn't care less either...

if it weren't for the Octave Multiplexer i'd have no use for EHX at all.
