I played a kramer 36 fret. after the 24 fret it goes from jumbo wire to mandolin fret wire. the sustain is complete shit cause of the disproportionate lengths of resonant string vs sympathetic string. also the string has a considerable amount of tension once you finger the 36th fret. its inevitable that the action increases as you get closer to the bridge. small frets may also be to blame. anyway, it sucks.

tension is actually why i barely play my mandolin anymore

I see so many cuz I'm a craigslist addict... Here's the last half dozen or so I lusted after:
-Dark woodgrain G&L ASAT w/ two single coil pickups. I love Tele's but always trade or sell them.
-Teisco Vox Phantom copy, baby blue. Wrote the guy back to see if he still had it, cuz I had the $$ and was going to be over there. Gone.
-White Gibson SG with soapbar P-90's.
-mosrite or univox hi flyer; aka a Ramones guitar.
-Too heavy for my crappy back + neck, but I always wanted a Greg Ginn Ampeg Dan Armstong clear plexi guitar.

I'd like my '67 Mustang back. And my '66 Precision. The only two mistakes I've made, instrument-wise.

I'd like to have a thinline tele. People on here might expect that, but the guys in my death metal band wouldn't. I play an LTD usually, and I'm going to be picking up an 8 string at some point. Probably the Ibanez RGA8.

Unusual stuff that I would like to own probably would not surprise anyone that knows me. Even the Hagström I posted somewhere on the first page or so was a bluff. I know only people that either don't give a shit as long as it sounds nice or that are set on one body shape and hate everything beyond.
