Hey even if you can't get away with it in your band now that is fine but in the end you should do what you like when ever you can to get the most enjoyment, inspiration and fun from your music. And if need be you could slowly add then to you rig and to the mix where it just become part of it all... and this is not OT I am being a enabler :evil: for the greater good of fuzz kind so that those who have-ith no uzz will want fuzz and more fuzz intill the world is awash with the sound of fuzz :thumb:

Man, how can he be into Fripp but not like effects?! I mean that dude invented shit that people can't even clone yet, and I'm pretty sure he's the reason I own like 4 delay pedals at any given moment. And I play friggin' bass!

Always remember: if a song does not sound better with fuzz...then it did not sound good to begin with.

I only have 1 fuzz atm, a Fulltone UO. Next year I should have a Blackout Twosome, D*A*M Pro MkII, and a BJFE CAF.

:facepalm: yea I know, I know...I'm just too indecisive!..I keep thinking I've decided on what I want to get, but then something new comes to my attention and I'm back to square one. :(

Mudfuzz wrote::idk: all bands are different.. The two I play with like my use of fuzz to add mood and texture to the overall sound, that's is why I always have about three on my board, I can bring in and out a sound for this part or that of a song. And for the most part I'm not talking extreme, I know better then that and I spend lot of time and have gone though lots of pedals so that my volume doesn't change much inless I start stacking and my lows never drop.

I am having such a hard time with this the difference between my clean volume and anything with fuzz is huge.
TAFM=LOUD
GNOMERATRON=LOUD

I only have 3 fuzzes, but it doesn't feel like enough fuzz :no: speaking of which i don't think i know any guitarist personaly without a fuzz pedal apart from one who doesn't have a fuzz because he only has an acustic with no means of amplifying it :poke:

(GAH as i was writing this i forgot i had bread in the grill, so i've wasted 6 bits of 'slightly' burnt toast :cry: )

Dude just buy one. You have zero, which means no basis of comparison. Ergo, whatever you get will be awesome. Even if it's not, you won't know any better.

This is sort of like avoiding sex because you haven't found the right partner yet. Having sex is infinitely greater to not having sex. JUST DO IT ALREADY.
