Ryan, I don't know if this was answered or not, but does this do Vibrato type Tremolo (Magnatone style), or just classic Tremolo (Fender Style)?

It is definitely a "volume shifting" tremolo (Fender styley) as opposed to a pitch shifting vibrato (Magnatone).

Also, being a lucky son of a gun, I can say it is pretty freaking amazing.

Final prototype works! Quiet switching, no hose ups, everything works totally right and now it's time to arrange the manufacturing of these boards and boxes!

The boards process is a bit of a drag, I have to send a parts list and special pcb files to manufacturers around Canada and arrange the most reasonable price/service. I could see it taking 2 to 3 months to have the boards ordered and paid for and that's if all goes smoothly. The boxes are easier to set up and won't take long at all... Tanya keeps talking brown sparkle for the first run...

Here's some photos of the final prototype pcb and build,

The little blue switchy in the middle of the pcb is a pushbutton switch to choose between sync and pan in stereo mode. I don't think it's worth a top panel switch but it's definitely a cool choice. I also switched the pcb to through hole caps since people's fingers will be poking around in there, smd caps don't go for much of that.

Here's the list of features that I humbly think comprise the ultimate analog tremolo pedal:

>9 - 18vdc operation
>bulletproof reverse polarity protection
>soft touch true bypass relay based switching
>stereo input and output with separate audio paths
>mono input stereo output operation possible too
>stereo output choice of sync (unison tremolo) or pan (left then right tremolo)
>expression control of rate and depth (works in stereo)
>'hold' mode allows foot- switch to be used as momentary engage for effect with adjustable rise time (works in stereo)
>5mm led on/off indicator, 3mm led always on oscillator status indicator
>huge range of rate
>active treble control with +/- 15dB of boost and cut
>lots of volume available, can be used as clean boost/treble boost pedal in 'hold' mode
>square and triangle waveforms with widely adjustable symmetry/pulse width
>analog signal path and oscillator with digital bypass switching
>hand-rolled LED/LDR optocouplers (nothing sounds as good as home made )
>top mounted input/output/power jacks with side mounted expression jacks
>new enclosure (125B) is approximately 5mm wider than previous version (increase is the width of a pencil)

The Tremolessence is amplitude modulation tremolo, it gets quieter and louder but doesn't alter the pitch/delay/frequency of the signal at all.

If all goes really smoothly with the pcb manufacturing we could have these in stores in 3 months and I'm going to push hard for it. The trouble is the quoting and manufacturing process can take awhile and it's out of my control, but I have good contacts now and experience with it so maybe it'll go even quicker than I'm guessing.

Somebody around here won't have to wait 3 months though... they'll get one much sooner... when they win one in the ILF February giveaway...

Shoot I don't know yet, I'm not smart enough to estimate the pcb costs... more than the last version ($225) but definitely less than $300. I'd be really happy to keep it the same price if that's possible, just to have learn more about the pcb and box mfg.. plus there's a lot more expensive parts in this build.
