Merci!!!

Will it stack with fuzz... I like to run a gated fuzz at low gain before a high gain distortion... make a beefy statick sound.
If you could play Slayer with it, mean it's high gain :thumb:

Do you think it will be avalaible this year (2011)?

De rien! (Ok, I've pretty much exhausted all my French now.)

Good question about stacking.. I don't know yet, I haven't tried it with any other pedals. It's set up to get along well with others though, nicely buffered in and out, so I expect it to be a proper team player.

It's pretty high gain, I don't know, that's hard to say I guess... it's not the same kind of high gain as those high gainers that Kayzer has videos of but I can definitely cop a convincing Slayer tone with it!

It'll be ready this year for sure... it'll be ready soon too, I just have to finalize the circuit and pcb layout, a couple/few weeks tops, and the boxes will take right around 2 months but I've pretty much decided on the box layout so that's all ready. I'll be doing the pcbs by hand and they'll only take a few weeks to arrive. I really think we'll be making the Elements in May, strongly confident! Just gotta iron out the last details of it, make sure it's ready for the stage!

I already have a Wampler Triple Recstortion for that type of sound... that's not what I'm looking for.
Your description of The Element is exactly what I want (with a Dr. Scientist twist)... so I'll be patient.
Thanks :thumb:

125B box... is that the same box as the Frazz Dazzler or the Cleanness?
You will have top mounted jack as usual?

I'm planning my board for the Elements :joy: :omg: :!!!:

Think the 125B is a tiny bit wider and taller than the Frazz and Cleanness enclosures.

I just found some info on the 125B:
4 5/8" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2

Thanks, Shannon! The 125B is about a pencil width wider and taller than the 1590B, awesome sized box with just the right amount of extra room!

The 125B box is the same used by Blackout Effector for the Musket (nice size).

I can't wait to see the layout... 6 knobs and 4 switchs on a small pedal.
I just sold my distortion box... pedalboard is ready for it :yay:

Gahhh... I should check this forum more often. I've missed out on so much win. I've got loads of reading to do while my internet is slow. Thanks, Ryan.

Thanks Eric, I do have some pics actually!

Here's a little photo walk through of the Elements, this is basically the production pcb and box layout.

The Elements pcb

The Elements guts

The Elements sides

The Elements front
The Elements front

The controls go like this:

top row, left to right: gain, volume, mix

middle row, left to right: high/low gain (2 positions), clipping (3 positions), on/off indicationness, input bass cut (3 positions), mids frequency (3 positions)

bottom row, left to right: bass, midrange, treble

All that we're waiting on now is the first round of boxes.. I have to approve the first drilled sample and then it's 6 weeks for the first 125 to be drilled and finished. We don't know what the first finish will look like yet, no idea. I'll be doing the pcbs myself since we can't afford to have them manufactured for us right now but since the boxes won't be vinyled we'll be able to keep up pretty well with these builds I think.
