Did you know about the high pass filter that can be applied to the repeats?
EHX Website wrote:The DXMB has a low cut tone control feature which the RATE knob adjusts. Enter low cut mode by pressing and holding down the EXP. MODE button for 2 seconds. After two seconds, all of the EXP. MODE LEDs will light solid and you can release the button. At this point, the RATE knob no longer adjusts the rate of modulation but instead sets the frequency for the DXMB’s low cut filter. As you turn RATE clockwise, less bass will be present in the delayed signal. To completely bypass the low cut filter so that the full bass response comes through, turn the RATE knob down to the full counter-clockwise position. To exit low cut mode, press and release the EXP. MODE button. The DXMB will save the low cut setting, even after power cycling, and it will remain at that setting until adjusted again. The default setting from the factory is for the low cut filter to be bypassed.

I didn't put two and two together, and just figured I'd be able to set a loop and play over it. So when I do a loop I have to run that sweet lofi loop into my m9 for it to really be a reasonable loop.
Not always true!
If you power up in Trails mode and leave the repeats knob high, the trails will continue with the pedal in bypass, so you can play over them.
Though I'm wondering once you turn the bypass back on, if you can go and record more into the loop...I'll let you know on Monday!
Oh shit! That was the deal breaker for me. Lemme try later today.

I had the same concern, so I emailed Ethan at Strymon (super helpful guy), and he explained that. Also if you watch the sound on sound video up til like 1:06, it says so

Speaking of Ethan... has anyone checked out his music (State Shirt)? This guy knows his loopers!

You can expect a full (bass) demo tomorrow!
I've been messing with it for like an hour now. I'll save all my editorial responses til I have video to back me up

But what does it sound like on a normal guitar?

Eh, I don't care
