I think my ABY box has a 47k. :idk:

ahh thanks, ill try 47k once i get new leds. :yay:
4th knob is a starve.

I have a feeling it's 4.7k, not 47k

Yeah...it's a 1k...

How's the starve act with it? I've been debating between putting in a starve or a boost...

the starve is not as out of the ordinary sounding as i thought.
it might be because i made the mistake of putting pin 3 to ground.
:idk:
4.7k works perfectly btw :yay:

naw don't ground it, just put one side of the pot from the + and the center lug to the power input on the board. 1k -2k pot.

:thumb: got it done and it sounds better now .
btw the starve can "tame " it a bit i think. makes more use of the higher gain settings imo.
i really like how over the top this pedal can go too.

Hey, i noticed that this PCB uses THREE 1n4148's. Other schematics I saw used TWO 1n4148's and ONE 9.1v Zener Diode. Anyone know what's up here?

I believe you can use transistors to function the same/similarly to diodes in certain cases.

No comprendo circles and squares. Circathode? Squanode? :picard: :idk:

square is positive, circle is negative, longer leg of leds, caps are the positive leg, on normal diodes the side with the black band on it is positive.

pay attention to page two or three, there was a mistake on the pcb or something and one set of a circle and square was mixed up.

Yeah, I think I said before, but it's worth saying again--ignore the circle/square mixup on the board. Use the included layout for negative/positive indication.

Also (I've gotten some questions about this), the included blue LED is part of the circuit, not an on/off indicator. Put it on the board where the layout tells you. :)

Okay, so I put this PCB together with all of the correct parts. Diodes and caps in correct order. No sound. The LED lights up though.

I'm a bit questionable about the wiring. So, if you dont mind me asking some VERY lame questions, I'd appreciate the help!

1. Where do you run the GND wire from the board?
2. What do I wire RING INPUT JACK to? Layout says to GND of POW JACK. Is that the DC JACK?
3. What do I wire SLEEVE INPUT JACK to?

Also, just to be sure...the pots on the layout are shown with the pot shafts facing down, right?

Thanks everyone!

If you haven't read the entire thread, there are links to the Beavis Audio website, which has very helpful info about wiring and shit like that.

alright, thanks. But the pot shafts are facing down in the layout, right?

what do you mean down? it doesn't matter which outside lug you wire to, it just dictates which way the pot turns.

Okay. So, I tried the beavis link to wire this all up. The bypass works. But with the circuit engaged I get a very gated fuzz sound and its very quiet, even at full volume. The led works and lights up at various strengths when I strum the guitar. I have triple checked it all and can't see anything wrong.

Anyone have any ideas...
