Yea...was looking into the MI Audio PollyAnna for a while, but that -2 octave scares me...was afraid it would blow my amp up or something.
More recently, the Black Rose Octave by Rocktron seems pretty cool..kind of an Octave Multiplexer clone, maybe?

Looks that way... I hate pedals that use lame names for controls..

What kind'a amp/cab you use? In general, the second octave could very well destroy a speaker. Basically if you can't play a bass thought it without fear, you might want to fear.

I use a 20-watt 1X12 combo...as far as i can gather with my limited knowledge of amp circuits, it is like a silverface Twin Reverb, or something similar.
Fender lineage, anyway..
my guitar is a semi-hollow tele with humbuckers (like a 72 thinline)

So it's a open back eh? Open backs are not good with lots of bass. I'm not sure if it would be totally ok.. might work if you roll off lows but then you kinda lose the effect or use it at a low volume. A octave basically turns a guitar into a bass, so as I said before if your rig can't take a bass guitar then...

I don't plan on leaving the house at all today...
I've got a Whetstone and Timmy that is coming to be part of our family. :joy:
I'm going to  each of them as I remove them from their suffocating packaging, and tell them to make themselves at home.

Rory Gallagher used an OC-2 and an MXR Blue Box with an AC30. Sounded fine and didn't do any damage (although, he did die of MRSA infection after a liver transplant so you might not want to risk it).

I think it was more like a month.
And knowing my track record, that's actually fairly apt [/confessions thread-style]
