i adore the 2hp Hats. can't get much smaller than that?

i also want a Mimeo. looks YUMMY.

got loots for a Moog Centric Mini Rack headed in.

first plan is this - Image

grabbed a 3 tier Moog rack kit and the Moog 60 hp case for a drum boobaboo Mother acid micro thinger.

then if i don't click with Mawmz/get annoyed at needing a converter to interface with Euro pitch CV, switch to this -

i HATE trying to get the Varigate to reset with a master, but i miss the thing. so. gets to be it's own little owner of owniness.

A surprise awesome hats module is the Meng Qi DU-KRPLS.

I have been using Plonk a lot for hats, too.

In general, synthesized cymbals suck balls. They're always so static. Actually, maybe it's user error. Anyway, synthesizer cymbals present an interesting challenge, one I usually deal with by not even pretending to emulate a cymbal but rather have some short sound which mimics the clickety of a hat.

To conclude, hats.

yah. most cymbals suck the ballast out of my flying dirgible.

ballast is not the appropriate word there, but it sounds way naughtier than vacuous propellant. so. ballast it IS.

that's why i'm so geeked for the Crucible. demos sound amaziiiiiing.

and yah. the DU-KRPLS is BUTTS good.

I got the Crucible in and it IS amazing, but it has made me itchy for a hats module, since hats are way more techno than rides.

01) i go back and forth on whether i enjoy his blunt very Scandinavian style of delivery, or annoyed at the I Know Everything Better Than You Do that wafts off of him

and

02) everything he talks about i agree with and at least 2 of his points have been actually REALLY thinking about lately

but.... he's not wrong.

..... and i sort of feel personally attacked at about 2 minutes in?

I listened to this entire video at work (shhh). The joke at 2 minutes in is pretty funny and I used to feel that way a lot but I don't feel that way anymore. Part of the reason I don't feel that way anymore is that I keep a spreadsheet of Eurorack expenditures (subtracting modules I sell) and once I hit 10k$ I put on the brakes because WTF am I even doing with a 10k$ synthesizer?! Thankfully, I am not a procrastinator and regularly put out phat fuckin' eurorack jams. Anyway, I think what this guy is getting at is that most people actually DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEAS TO PRESENT. I think thats OK because I disagree with this guy when he makes fun of noodles or exploratory excursions because those experiences have intrinsic value, says me.

yah. i think the sort of.... elitism? that sometimes irks me comes from a flawed view from him that's what important to him about making noise is what should be important to EVERYONE.

but. still. was entertained. and agree with a few points. for me, not for all humans.

Yah, man, it's not necessarily procrastination. What if I'm just... having fun!?

Speaking of productivity, finally finished a new EP:

or
https://eagleeyedtiger.bandcamp.com/alb ... or-past-ep

Ya boi is almost done with an album, too! Wanna get some physicals of it made for maximum  but we'll see. In the dreaded mastering portion of the work. Resisting the urge to start new tracks at the moment so I can finally get this thing out the door.

He made some good points, but I really can't stand his better-than-thou attitude. Good for you for finishing some songs, guy. Dude just seems like a douchebag.

A large contingent of synth youtubers have that holier-than-thou attitude. I guess it comes with the territory? That mindset is probably what got them free units from every kind of manufacturer.

MYLAR MELODIES.
MYLAR MELODIES.
MYLAR MELODIES.

he is, and will always be, my favorite youtuber. he's just so HAPPY with what he does. DivKid is ridiculously informative in his approach as well.

murf. played with the Metropolis/Atlantis combo annnnnnnd man it is so AWESOME. lol. think i ordered the Moog tier and case.... for.... naught. if they would release the SUBHARMONICAL i would loooove to grab one and Mommy Subby stack. but. apparently that's not going to happen?

do Moog have any other Mother/DFAM sized loots incoming? what's up with the vocoder they were discussing?

edit - durp. SPECTRAL FOX. or SpectraVox. WANT.

why. WHY DO THEY KEEP RELEASING AWESOME THINGS FOR TWELVE PEOPLE.

Hey, nice. These tracks put me on a chill wave. Really cool interplay of melodic lines and etc.
