Years in the making. :) We've been planning our wedding, have been technically engaged for a couple years, but we made it official with a ring today!

Congratulations, Tom!

I can only assume this means French class?

For my English degree, I had to take FOUR semesters of fucking French.

Is the foreign language required for the English degree, or just part of the general curriculum.
eg: My school requires everyone take 2 years of a language.

it's for the whole faculty... I don't have anything against the fact it's compulsory, the bad thing is that because I had french in high school, I kind of went for it

little did I know that french is by far the hardest second language class I can take. The requirements are hardcore, the grading is hardcore, the whole thing is hardcore and it's really much more difficult than the rest of the second language classes, because the teacher is a bit too much into it

in the end it seems more like a punishment that I didn't learn any other language in high school than anything else

btw fun fact: anyone not studying english at our faculty can of course take english  and the only thing they basically need to do is a presentation... fucking joke

My wife took 2 years of latin and retained almost nothing there. I wouldn't wish latin on anyone.
