That's called listening fatigue.

very little listening overall today, and only the few minutes necessary for that demo through headphones - it's probably just psychological. I will retreat so that I might live to listen another day.

Why are there oscilloscopes on a distortion/preamp/cab sim pedal? I just don't get how that would be useful at all?

they missed a trick by not having that during the Era Of Preposterously Strong Psychedelics.
god, everything good in life is in the past.

No other demos from Chase Bliss of the $900 reverb pedal. Like they've entered some special realm of suckers who'd buy a pile of Joel's shit if he put some automated faders on it.

That Knobs demo was apparently rushed - and honestly one of his worst demos. Super noisy and uninspiring.
I think I read somewhere that he moved recently and his new apartment is noisy or something, but that demo just reinforced my motivation to get a Mercury7 again, tbh.
Given the fact that it's their most expensive pedals, I would've bet that they wouldn't rush this one out the door. Their promo material is usually great tbh, but after I listened a few times it just fell flat.
Honestly, I don't think all the usual CBA supporters are jumping to get this like normal - hell, I'm usually one of them!
They had the early pre-order link, then the Reddit AMA, the Knobs demo, and another email blast of the pre-order being available - and it still hasn't sold out, despite all the hoopla about how there will be a limited quantity of units this fall due to part shortage.
CBA was on a hot streak with me - MOOD is still one of my favorite pedals ever and I really enjoy Blooper and Dark World. PreampMk2 has been great for me, too... but I just don't see a CXM1978 in my future unless I hear a truly remarkable demo - or the price goes down. Strymon's new reverb that just came out seems way more interesting to me - at least it tries something new.

Wow, that's a lot of knobs that are way too close together for my sausage fingers

Yeah I just watched that video and it sounds phenomenal! Definitely feels very similar to the Lyra 8, but with so much more going on.
Still it is WAY too cramped. I would be interested in this if it was half the number of voices in the same sized enclosure. Solar 25 I guess?

yeah - however that performs sonically, it's not likely to provide the same intuitive experience as the Lyra....

Is it just me or does that not look like a pretty amazing deal? There's a lot going there for only 1000 euro. And sounds great in that vid.
(Not that I'm interested. Keys are like smoking, they are only for quitters.

Guitar only here, these days).

welp, i'm less interested than in the Lyra, but much more interested than in any Behringer shite....

I can hear the lyra influences on that but it looks a lot bigger and more geared to sync up with the modular stuff. It looks cool but I agree with Mr November about it looking pretty cramped. Also curious if there is a big market for these types of drone synths... I have a lyra but I like weird shit haha.

Very likely, since VOX belongs to KORG since 2000-something. It's one of the best thing that happened to the VOX brand. At some time ('90s?) Marshall had the rights for VOX products and I heard that those amps sucked. I like a lot of what KORG does under the VOX flag.
Does/did VOX have anything to do with Blackstar?
