I know! this is it for me on bass gas... Oh and this is to be for BEAD if all goes well... that was the "practical" angle to it... [cuz a "shitty" 5'er would have cost more then this and my red one

why many things, but mostly a RIC needs a pickup cover! those that remove the things should be stabbed with a hot fork.

Swapped the microphonic preamp tube for a vintage CONN 12au7

BEAUTIFUL SOUNDING. Still getting used to 6550's and dirt, but so far so awesome

Do you ever use the bridge mute? I tried it on my Ric bridge copy and it's pretty...meh...

Some times.. I find it cool to get it up where it just buzzes and damps a little which gives you a really cool upright like sound

Oh, that's a good idea. I'll have to try it. I do really like the kinda-upright sound you get from playing on the neck (like...14th fret) with le mudbucker.

yeah, all the really beautiful, non-headbangin' om stuff is basically this, al plays kinda high up on the neck.
