i'm not a fan of really overt hentai so i didn't watch the whole thing but i really like watching shows that are super uncomfortable to watch for whatever reason.
once you get to that level of 'things that can't be shown on TV' shows are pretty much guaranteed to be plotless garbage sadly.

Just watched the three first episodes of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Yet again I'm immersed in the life of some Japanese high school girl, but there's some really rad animation and some fairly trippy ideas so far. Think I'm going to enjoy this.

Does anyone have any comedy anime to recommend? i'm really struggling to find anything cool that i haven't already seen. there are a couple of decent ones airing but once a week is never enough.

rewatching Nichijou at the moment because it's perfect. other favourites are Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Teekyuu, Danshi Kokosei no Nichijou, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Cromartie High School, Maria Holic, Acchi Kocchi, Lucky Star, Baka and Test, GTO, Nodame Cantabile, School Rumble, Humanity Has Declined... there are a lot more but those were the more worthwhile ones. I have to be missing something...

I liked Full Metal Panic Fumoffu a lot, the Devil is a Part Timer is great.

yeah i've watched all of SYD, i liked it a lot but i think by the end of the second season they'd recycled the same dirty jokes too much. there are definitely a lot of japanese word/character jokes, it was pretty clever at times.

Yeah, I realised as I was posting it that I had only ever seen the dub and I started watching the second youtube clip when they made an Airplane! reference with "don't call me Shirely", pretty bizarre. Imma thinkin' that prolly wasn't in da o-ridganal. It was one of the first animes I ever watched in highschool and I guess it was pretty novel at the time. Hoping I appreciate it a bit more this time through.

Was also thinking of watching some Cardcaptor Sakura during the holidays and seeing how much I hate it now that I'm a fully grown person.
