Yeah I'd have to agree with you that it's pretty hard to judge how it sounds through that demo. I was thinking based on the price tag that it was gonna be next level and all I thought was that I can probably do most of those sounds with something I already have.
Also the not a huge fan of the mainframe like I was initially hoping. I really hate demos with the drums and other instruments tbh but I didn't really hear anything I thought was super cool. I guess that will have to be determined after more demos come out but I also think I'm not a huge fan of bit crushers... or plls for that matter. I think its something that sounds cool to me than they actually are imo. It definitely has that cool aesthetic vibe
going on though.

what genre are you gonna use it in? or you mean what venue are you gonna play it in?

where would i apply it in my relatively conventional (shoegaze/psychedelia) aesthetic? i don't think i can get away with sounding like MBV through a cement mixer attached to a cell tower.

that pedal has "FURTKAMP" written all over it, though.

yeah, Super Fuzz is probably gonna create an impenetrable wash of no determinate pitch if you do the typical shoegaze vibrato arm'd chord thing, but it might provide some interesting meat and sizzle to your single note runs if you can handle the tap dancing. If you get a version where you can switch off the upper octave it's more versatile....

That has Jesus & Mary Chain vibes written all over it! As far as MBV goes, it’ll fit right in with the sound aesthetic of their debut ep, “This is Your Bloody Valentine”
It is a Super Fuzz, so as previously mentioned, those pretty chord dives are gonna be pretty gross, but with a fleet footed wah you can get squalls of noise!
So you’ll be able to cop those Raveonettes, A Place to Bury Strangers ear bleed crescendos. With some EQ and some well placed octave down, you might even be able to fake some “Heliotropic” monolithic bass fuzz.
I had one briefly a few years ago.
I sold it because, on the “tame” side, it was pretty similar in sound to my Big Spider,
and on the “chaotic” side it couldn’t go as wild as my LAL 88.
That’s not a fault against the pedal itself at all! I just couldn’t justify that Venn diagram of fuzz at the time.

i could see getting use out of some of the serrated fuzz decay options. i might go back and look at the demo again; my current fuzz array stops a couple of steps short of that level of chaos, so...

There's a virtual synth expo happening today in about an hour from the Deli magazine. They host all those stomp box events and synth events in recent years...I'll check it out and see what's what, but I can't see myself sitting in front of the computer for this for too long

Very likely, since VOX belongs to KORG since 2000-something. It's one of the best thing that happened to the VOX brand. At some time ('90s?) Marshall had the rights for VOX products and I heard that those amps sucked. I like a lot of what KORG does under the VOX flag.

Not sure about what I'm hearing, but for some reason, everything sounds like crap today. :/

modern Vox amps are cool. i'm very happy with my AC15 which came with Top Boost (and what's a Vox without Top Boost?) and a Celestion Greenback, one of my favorite 12s.

overloaded your ears? if i get too much extended volume, especially on cans, everything turns into an undifferentiated mush with no dynamics. my range is still quite good for someone my age with the number of damaging stressors i've experienced, but the clarity suffers.
