Store was out of Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, so I picked up some Apple Ginger.
It's interesting.

The only thing that is getting me up right now to go buy more toilet paper is that I have no beer. I actually used some pages from a Stew-Mac catalogue earlier.

Had one of these:

It was definitely interesting, not sure I'd get another though. I'm not really a fan of hefeweizens though. There was a distinct coconut flavour, but not overpowering.
Now I'm having this:

I like it, I like it a lot actually. Very hoppy (as an IPA should be), so I don't know that I could drink too many of them in a row. But I heartily recommend it if you like IPAs.
What's cool is that both of these beers were brewed within 30 kilometres or so of home.

Had this stuff on tap at a ballgame last weekend...it's 8.2%, a damn good beer-whiskey hybrid. I NEED MORE.

Well my beer drinking for the night has taken a distinctly downwards turn:

I know it's cheap piss beer, but there's something I just love about Canadian.

My buddy brought back some beers from Iceland. Got to have the Lava, which was a smoked porter. Well balanced, not too heavy on the smoked side and actually had a similar spice to the Fade to Black #3 peppercorn porter. Also a little juniper. Very good. B+ Also had the Black Death which was a pretty standard stout, think Bell's Kalamazoo. C. Still pretty cool though.

I work at a beer bar. I have never seen so many people in the place as the day we tapped a keg of the 120.

I have some friends who own a beer & wine shop - I believe they just got some of that in stock! I love a good porter... will have to check it out.
