Are people buying them and immediately selling them for $100 more? I had been looking for one for a while and there was only one on there for $400 for the last week or so.

Yeah, that's been the case with every release. Scott couldn't make enough stock and the demand was high enough. If you bought the pedal and sold it immediately, the Montreal Assembly stock would be depleted and then the resale value was insane. Scott said they made tons this time, so it'll be interesting to see if prices finally drop.

It'll probably take a while before the scalpers get pushed out.
I'd say, until it's gotten to the point where you can get them brand new at any time, they'll still be hanging around.
Then again, once it's gotten to that point, they'll just start selling "early version/serial no." CT5's for inflated prices.

I wonder if they'll still be required to call it a "delay/looper/sampler/slicer" that is just "too much pedal for me".

It's firmly in the "too pretty for me to want to use it" category like the Beetronics stuff. I see it more like a work of art than an actual fuzz.
