Practice with the new drummer didn't go that well. He was ok with the doom stuff, but couldn't handle the sludge - especially when it was in anything other than 4/4.

I love how the only guy to solve one of the Millenium problems refused the prize money. "Oh hey, here's your million dollars." "No thanks bro, it's cool, and I'm also going to turn down your Fields Medal 'cause I'm that much of a baller."

I've been doing it for like 10 years now and I seem to have stayed at the same level of suck ass the entire time. :facepalm:

i've been doing it since 1970...i've gotten better at it, but that's only due to repetition and figuring out how to bend the ball end so it's easier to get on a Bigsby. it's only less of a pain in the ass now in that guitars have better tuners, so there isn't as much actual pain involved...it used to be that you could crack your knuckles trying to tune an old guitar.
