What's the deal with Swart? I mean, other than being expensive. Why do people like them? What kind of amp are they?

thanks

they're my favorites
considered picking up a third, but unfortunately came to my senses

these particular swarts are basically modded/boutique-ized tweed champs/princetons
negative feedback switch lets you go from champ (rawer, brighter) to princeton (more compressed, darker, my preferred setting)
why I like them: they project REALLY well, and fill the room nicely
big acoustics, small package, lots of character
just the right volume for me

I wish I could get into them. Even the Champs are too loud for my needs, (need separate volume/gain) and I never really liked Fender distortion..

I might as well hit all the the "LETS SEE YOUR" threads today.

It's an Ampeg Jet Reverb II. 12" speaker and two EL84's cooking in the back. Oh, and spring reverb
Sweet sound. I was able to crank it in the store, but won't be able to at home. Getting a Weber attenuator with headphone tap to quiet it down.

It's not super fancy but it's enough and I'm certainly happy with it. The Hartke 410 will eventually have its spot filled by a Monolith 415 if I can ever amass that much money at one time, but I have no desire to replace the VB-2.
Yeah the Christmas lights do give me some annoying hum with high gain, but it's really just part of the "ambiance" because the wooden shutters right next to me rattle the entire time I'm playing anyway
It's really weird when I play in any other room but this. All those sounds aren't there -- my shutter squeak highs aren't there!

Note the bass.
