Those things are cannons.

Yep! I got one of the hex receiver versions, before they changed to the round type to speed up production. Mine was made in 1932, an M91/30. I'm saving up to buy a crate of ammo instead of a single tin can so I haven't fired it yet but am looking forward to it.

The carbines are super sweet but there weren't any at the show I went to, although they did have a sniper version. The bayonet on mine is just a gigantic screwdriver, it's awesome
I really love how simply and efficiently they're put together. A utilitarian gun for the uneducated peasant.

Yeah definitely.

If you shoot corrosive ammo (the cheap military surplus stuff), remember to clean the rifle afterwards so you don't rust the bore. (Sorry if you know that already.)

Meh about the sniper variants. Way overpriced. Iron sights or gtfo.

Also, in regards to bass drones. Everyone should learn the "Variations on a theme" note pattern. self-propelled Zoner Metal for days.

Not only do I have a gig tomorrow night, but I have a tentative date with a girlie sometime this week (and she'll probably see our show next weekend).
