I just took the trash out hoping it was gonna be cooler outside than it is in my apartment. It wasn't.

I want a Microkorg, but I don't have money or things to sell to get one.

Work sucked sooo much today. Burned myself a bunch of times and sliced my finger open a few times. Also did get to leave until and hour and a half after close. My gal is coming over though, and we're going to watch Wristcutters together because I love Tom Waits and Gogol Bordello and she hasn't seen it yet, so that makes up for work sucking.

So I asked my boss yesterday if I could switch my hours from 9-5 to 8-4 (two other people here have this schedule). He said no, because "it's important that I work a full day."

...

This being something of a last straw in a long line of things that don't make sense, I applied for jobs at 10 companies yesterday.

I couldn't stand being on the 9-5 schedule. It's so much easier to work from 8-4. You beat the rush hour crunch on the way home and don't have to put up with everyone first thing in the morning (that hour of quiet is precious now).

Do you guys not take lunches or do you only have to work 7 hours? At my company, we're required to take an hour lunch, so I'm currently doing 7-4.

Gotcha. Yeah, our breaks and lunch aren't paid. I need to do 8 "working" hours. :grumpy:

Dude, I'd prefer that. We're salaried. So, even though my hours are officially 9-5, I always go over to get stuff done, and don't get paid for it.

Oh don't get me wrong, I almost always end up working more than 40 hours. But I'm just saying that my official nominal shift has to be 9 hours long, with an hour unpaid lunch in it somewhere.

Harry Potter made it work, but then again he was a depressive alcoholic. :idk:

Sorry, for some reason the whole living in a closet thing instantly reminded me of this.

Some assholes decided to stick knives and forks all over my yard than harass me and my girlfriend. Also, shes leaving for a week tomorrow. :(
