Was in Mexico for the last week and came back to my rack fresh and ready to play. This is the patch I came up with in a couple of hours. Shitty iPhone audio but I didn't want to lose my flow getting a computer involved.

jebus Emilie is a classy, classy human. i wouldn't be able to be as calm and collected.

....... on a selfish side, i actualllllly sort of DO want to grab one. was going to try to get one second hand so i wasn't supporting Arturia in this debacle.

also, from Emilie on the MI site -

"Someone from Arturia has sent apologies and the site is being reworked.

One more reason to close all those browser tabs."

"Also, Arturia’s CEO called to apologize and given how confusing the first two minutes of the conversation were I THINK THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I PASSED VOCALLY :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
"

Dang. I’m tempted by that BDS. I just got one that’s the attenuvertor combipot one and I’d rather have the offset. But I still need money to pay for the Metron hahaha. Such problems!

This thread should be titled MW lite.

I still like this thread better than MW because it feels like a little community and none of us are assholes to anyone else.

Ditto, MW can get really shitty sometimes.

annnnnd fuck it. grabbing an Eloquencer. love the FLXS and the Varigate 8, but man them VGate reset issues. and as awesome and neat as the FLXS is.... a biiiiiit more support and updating would be NIFTY.

thinking the Eloquai would let me replace both the FLXS and the VGates?

I really liked the workflow on the Eloquencer when I had it, but there’s a lot that the flxs can do that the Elo can’t do. I’ve probably missed some firmware updates in the Elo, but the main reasons I’d say to hang on to the flxs (at least until you learn the capabilities of the Elo) are 64 steps, arpeggios per step, CVB outs that can spit out all kinds of crazy modulation. The Elo for sure kicks the Varigate’s butt imo.

I agree that FLXS could use more love but it has some tricks that you still can’t find anywhere else, depends on how useful you find those tricks?

I currently have FLXS1 and a five12 Vector, I guess I rely on sequencers so much that I feel 2 is my minimum, if I had more room I’d have a Rene v2 also I think. :)

i think at some point i'm going to grab a Rene. it's just so sexy and interesting. i'm actually REALLLLY thinking about grabbing 2 or 3 more MN skiffs and having a bunch of dedicated built ones. like an all drums module one, an all sequencer one, an all NoiseEng That Doesn't Fit In Main Case one..... probably silly. we'll see.

this is what i'm rearranging towards tomorrow (the two SMR's will be some combination of a SMR, SWN and CIP when those 2 are available).

yah. i mean. noooooo. i'm totes hanging on to the FLXS for right now. at least till i've dived butt first into the Eloquai, but probably even after that. i've taken it out of my case like 9 times and always. put. it back.

so. yeah.

also, i am SO digging the Just Friends over Batumi right now.
