I spent pretty much all of my 20s doing the gear thing rather than the sex thing. I regret it immensely.

I spent my teens having sex

Dunno, can't force it man. If I do, I'll just be like "okay, now I gotta shower. excellent." I won't feel better or worse, just sweaty and exhausted.

what's this word jabrony you keep using? it sounds awesome
I'm stoked ha-ha! I've acquired a lot of 'boutique' things over the years...and they are great...I'm just done...I have reached the end of my journey...not because I think I have the best stuff (far from it) it's just my investment in music far exceeds my talent at this point (I would argue that day came when I got my first electric guitar for my 13th birthday).
Jabrony [sic, it is jabroni] was used by the great American THE ROCK. It means poser, lame-ass, and some other wonderful definitions here
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Jabroni.
I actually inadvertently got laid a lot when I was 22 and 23. I think everyone was confused. Obama was just elected again. Things were weird for a while.

I know that feel. Almost sold all my shit and quit it altogether last year, cause I'd just been making shitty ass beats and thus lost all my passion for music, but somehow found the spark and decided to learn the bass, proper music theory and studio techniques. I'm dedicated as shit to this thing now, and hope to be able to make a living out of it (who doesn't right). Be it as a musician, engineer, producer, sound designer, foh dude or whatever. Gonna enroll to study sound design come August 2018, so that's why I'll be hoarding gear like there's no tomorrow.
I thought it was an Always Sunny reference lol

It totally is that too!
My new rule with gear is kind of stupid. It's like the wonka factory. Nothing els is coming in (unless it is dirt cheap) but I'm not selling anything.
That said, there is this MAKE SOUNDS LOUDLY Phaser for $90 on reverb right now I kind of want (I found that brand via you and comesect)

I played guitar in my teens, more or less dropped it to bartend and party/sleep with everyone ever from like 19 to 26 or so. Left bar work then picked guitar back up again and tapered off the rest.

Hung out with the shaved head girl. Went well. She doesn't seem crazy. She's gonna come watch Alien with me Sunday night. Really set the mood.

Nice.
You gonna burst her chest?
Sorry, that was the best I could do.
Have a fun and wholesome time at the cinema.

Aka a series of movies based explicitly and entirely on the universal application and fear of rape. Hawt date.

Also, not sure which thread this is the most appropriate for, but holy fuck that awful rumbling in your gut when you're about to have an explosive episode. And then having that feeling when you have 5 tables' food to run. And then they need drinks. And more bread. And salt & pepper. Meanwhile I'm sweating my ass off holding in a fucking biohazard over here.
And they're never satisfying when you finally make it to the bathroom because you know it's just going to happen again soon.

This is the thread for that. Pun intended, let it all out here!
You could also watch LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. Sort of a bitter sweet (eh...) horror film. Really gorgeous camera work (not that the other two films mentioned aren't).
I saw THE SHINING on 35mm a few months ago. That movie with a dope sound system brings you to another world. I thought I was time traveling. Pretty amazing how that movie laid the blu print for most of contemporary horror. One of my all time favorites.
Anyone seen WHITEBIRD IN A BLIZZARD? I loved it! Sort of like a DONNIE DARKO meets GHOST WORLD psych-thriller-mystery.

Donnie Darko was incidentally the first movie Invisible Woman and I watched together.
