The Sister is only 3" wider than the Shiv. Its not one of the 28" chassis.

Havent posted in a long while but had to return for Science. Just put my down payment in for a Decolonizer with Walnut front and back panels and a 4x12 black tolex w/ cane grill. So. Stoked.

I literally used it maybe 5 times, it was a loud and heavy but dull in ways I couldn't put my finger on.
Also the sister would be awesome but I just need it in a smaller head, literally want it to be the same wattage and volume but in a case similar to the size of the shiv. The OR120 is literally only .5 wider than the shiv so it will fit perfectly atop my 2x12. The hellhawk would also be cool although I only like slightly broken up amps which I boost with my Ge rat.
Now that I have a nice guitar, a nice cab, and I'm actually getting all sorts of projects from noise punk to mathy jangle rock, I actually want to have an amp I really want to have forever. My Sovtek Mig50 is cool but it's lacking at times.
The Hellhawk is Alex's only amp not meant to be stupid clean or stupid high gain. It doesn't clean up quite as much or get into the high gain territory as the other amps in the Science lineup.
And double check the website. If you can live with 3" of overhang instead of 7" just follow your dreams. Also, I'd just turn the 2x12 horizontal even though its cosmetics are vertical.

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to say Happy New Year, and thanks for all the support. You wouldn't believe (or you probably would) how many people reference this thread when they email me about an amp.
Don't wanna spill the beans just yet, but lots of stuff in the works for 2016. Unfortunately, no 21" W SISTER for Sergio

If it makes you feel better, it would take a nothing short of a miracle to fit that circuit into the Shiv head box!
I'm actually going to be taking a little time off to focus on some design stuff that's been on the back burner for literally years now, streamline some things on the production end, and switch suppliers for some of my custom parts. I mention it because as of this week's post-Xmas-slam I have parts left to make exactly 1 Hellhawk and 1 Shiv. After that, it's just filling my back orders and an epic design binge.
Also, just realized I may be breaking forum rules by coming across overly self-promoting and spammy, but really just wanna say thanks to the Science Tone Crew and other inquiring minds. THANKS!

Well then, I might just wait and see what is in the works.
Also dude, don't think that's spammy. You've provided us with a tonne of great info.
Especially for someone like myself who is half a world away, it's great to read the word straight from the builder's fingers.

So pumped for my Mother. Been a few weeks. Definitely going to be a few weeks more. Hoping it arrives before February vacation so I can spend my break testing the how much punishment the walls of my home can take.

I'll think about it but I don't really like horizontal 2x12. It's visually unappealing for me. I know that seems like a minor thing but I guess part of that is important in deciding to make a great sounding and looking rig. I got time as I'll be waiting on my money from uncle same to do any possible future purchases anyawy.

A vertical cab makes more sense from a visual AND acoustic standpoint so you'll get no argument from me there. Just trying to problem solve.
And I hate amp/cab size mismatching anyways. The only amp overhang I tolerate is the 2" of overhang a V-4(B) has on an 8x10.
Yeah I'll be stoked on pretty much anything Alex rolls out this year.

Yeah I might contact Alex and see if he tells me to fuck off with my dreams of no overhang and a science based rig. I like new stuff because troubleshooting it isn't a pain and I'm trying to move away from vintage (I only have a 2 drum machines and a synth that are vintage, besides my 606 all my vintage gonna leave). Although that being said there is no better feeling I had when I had bought my OR120 with my meager savings busing tables years ago.

Vintage gear is a pain when it needs work. That's the same reason why all but one of my amps and one of my cabs are new(er). True that, rolling out with a fad wad and and rolling back with THE amp or THE guitar is the tits.
To steal a joke from Alex, get de-COLON-ized.
