Ive been wanting to replace some stuff on my Les Paul. It was my dads and he replaced a bunch of stuff so its not original anyways.

I was thinking of getting a metal pick guard and some matching knobs.

Anyone know where I can get a distressed/aged metal LP Paul pick guard?

Damn. That's solid, and a good price. Gotta wait for the first paycheck from the new job, but I think I'll be jumping on that.

if your talkin bout the rolled up rug LP neon
i origanally thought leave it alone
but whatever you do adds to the story
and a metal pickguard sounds kinda tuff on a black lp

and ill do some more lookin grrr
my tool gas is just as strong as for gear
a friend of ours just moved into their dads old shop
so im gettin the doubles for nothin
bandsaw, joiner, ckamps etc
its stuff thats on my list
so my shop is gonna get a big boost soon
fuckin psyched on that
and with a bandsaw i can cut the shape of my next guitar
my search for a body is freakin fruitless
had no idea how expensive an unfinished would be

Speaking of tools, building, etc…I have some remodeling to do this summer. I am turning the garage into MAN CAVE/MUSIC CENTRAL. I already use the garage like this, i keep the PA set-up out there but I need insulate, put up sheetrock, build a new door (it has an ATROCIOUS old ass accordion door on the front), put a little AC in there (so i can leave my nice ass expensive synth stuff set-up out there), going to put down some flooring too.
It will be my office as well.
One idea I have is to make shelves for my Star Wars collection (massive). i am thinking that I will use Plexiglass to co ver the shelves so I don't have to dust those fuckers which is a PITA.
I am excited to get this done!

or a makita sidewinder if thats too much
although for bookshelves
you may be better off with a miter saw
i usually use 1x10 for bookcases
thats 9 1/2" wide
you shouldnd have to cut lengthwise (rip)
it should just be the square cuts the width and height
if this is your first saw, those cuts maybe a bitch
get a speed square and a cheap miter saw
thatll make it so much easier
pm me if you wanna talk more about it
or we could talk bookshelves in here today
whos gonna stop us?
Mmmm worm drive.
I got to go pick up a new clutch for my truck, woohoo good times (sarcasm).
I also need a brake line and all the tools that go with that.
Oh and I can forget the 20 hours I'll need to replace the clutch!

I thought the same thing: leave it alone. But I wanna do something to make it my own. But something fairly temporary, like new knobs and a pick guard. The guitar tech looked at me like I was crazy when I brought it in. I told him to set it up to be tuned in baritone and that I was going to change some stuff. Haha, poor guy. When I brought it in, he just looked at it and said "I'll take it!"

Nope.

My current fixation:

Haven't played one. Haven't even taken the time to listen to any samples. But am convinced that in a feedback loop and or paired with my Grendel maybe some reverb that it'll sound like whole choirs of madness. Fitting for this international zombie day.

But this is likely to be my next purchase.

Image

Boards and cabs are taking up the little floor space in the second/back/storage bedroom. Noise board, mixer, Grendel will go on top, main guitar board underneath when not in use, lap steel and other odds and ends can be stored on the shelf - unless the cats claim that as one of their spaces.

I bought a car yesterday. So my GAS is rather limited for a while.
