The doom rooms are definitely the best forums I've found. Everyone's extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Good vibes, all around. :D

These dudes are super cool over here. I never left the DR at HC. Fucking snakepit over there.

The new HC layout is too shitty for me to stay. On top of that I have been over HC for a while and just stick to the DR pretty much. This site seems to be far more interesting and we can posst boobs!

What B tuning do you guys find heavier?

25" scale with 0.078 gauge
27.5" scale with 0.072 gauge
30" scale with 0.065 gauge

& how much does tension affect your tone?

If I was playing any sort of extended scale, I would rather go UP in gauge rather than down. .14's with 28 5/8" is heavy shit.

Instead of "stoner rock" we could call it "classic metal" and pretend its a new thing :D Personally I dont really care, I just like playing it.

Didn't know there was a specific thread. Good looking out otherwise I'd be posting them randomly any time I see a nice rack. Which is pretty often.

I know there is some buried at sea fans here. Shit is crushing! I love the bass and drum groove they go into at the 4 and a half minute mark. Great dynamic build up and hypnotically intoxicating grooves.
Fuzz, reverb, delay.

then you'd end up with a lower tuning or lower tension, right?

What's the relationship between tension and scale length? Should longer instruments have a higher tension?

Hey tony, you got any tiny drum shells you aren't using and wouldn't mind destroying? I want to build a subkick mic. I've got some bose pc speakers that I could use and I think would work well, just need a very small enclosure. I tracked some more guitar last night and am still not getting quite the low end that teo needs to make it sound like it does when we do it live.

What do you mean by heavier? :idk: First off .078 on a 25" scale is way too big, you'll have a hardtime getting that into a tuning peg without removing some windings and its just an unnecessarily large gauge, I use .054's for B on a 24.75" scale guitar just fine and others use up to .068 from what i've seen (for high tension), and I use .072's for drop G tuning on my 27" scale baritone but anywhere from .68-.72 can be used for B on a baritone since those seem to be the stock gauges and tuning for most baritones..

Tension and tone? Tension mainly affects sustain and playability IME, the higher the tension the slightly hard it is to play but it increases the sustain of the note without warble.

It's not necessarily the "specific thread" for posting that, but that seem's to be where the majority of them get posted with out ill consequence. I wouldn't go throwing the pics around in the gear discussion or guitar forums (unless its the mothman bass  ) best to probably keep it in the general discussion forum (or better yet in this thread for all of our enjoyment!).
