You don't think I have people on your continent?
Dude I will come chill this year if you're not being facetious. I will buy you so much Fosters or whatever. And a big knife.

If you ever wanna really step up to the League of Extra Shitty Gentlemen, go visit Gearslutz. Their guitar section in particular is unparalleled in its choaddom.
Meanwhile, enjoy the brave new world...

I'm sure you got better places to stay than crashing at the home of a cranky beardo, with a wife, two kids and a mortgage.
But the offer is totally there if you're coming down.
We now have other beers.
Life is exciting.
Knives optional.

@ pop:I mean I believe in talking to people who hold different opinions than my own. I live with someone who was pretty sure he was going to vote for Trump two months ago, for fuck's sake.
@Pope: no, you're fucked now. I gotta see you, Zadgan (who will see this at some point before I ping him for his addy, I hope), and like some family friends. It will literally be me popping around your continent ingratiating myself to folks I don't know at the behest of half assed assumptions on the internet. But that's how I live my life anyway, so it's chill. I'll import/bring some fuzz goodies for you if I can pull of the time off on the house (as it were), which will obvi ingratiate myself to spouses and loved ones further.
Separate confession: Strange Tales and I almost talked(actually talked) a couple of days ago but I got too drunk and fell asleep.

Nice.
As long as I have advanced warning to plan I can general get some backup on the kid duties and get out of the house.
I need to get onto seeing Sam as well.
I'd go to him but I think that may be a bit too painstaking on my wallet right now (damn Sydney).
So I'm going to casually suggest he come up here instead.
I'm sure we can get you integrated just fine.
You'll just have to talk slower for us. Particularly in QLD.
Plus, you'll need some viable options if Trump gets this party nomination that every day looks, scarily enough, somehow more likly to be a thing.

Yeah no that shit is already covered -- in addition to being an ugly American I'm an ugly citizen of the Queen's Royal Empire as well, so need be I can float about the EU and extended family with little to no problem. That was the running joke when George W. was our president, scary to think the country might be looking at something worse.
Real talk: It will be over your summer though (particularly if Donald fucking Trump gets any kind of real support), so sorry for that. I'm very personable, so they tell me. Am expert in communicating in

"rad" and "beer!", while still being kid friendly but also conscious of the personal boundaries of the elderly (re: you and yours.)
That's a pretty lame pitch. I will come hang and be all "dude Church of misery Whaaat!' while not perverting your children, I solemnly swear.

Oh I know, me too. The idea of you venturing out into uncharted territory with dreams of retarded encounters just had me chuckling pretty hard...

I have faith.
But yeah you gotta have options now.
All you US guys do.
Next summer is doable. We should be settled into our new place then and I'm hoping to be rolling in home brew by that time.
Possibly even a functional amp to play on!

I was literally told that "musical education has nothing to do with it (meaning 'musical acumen') " in the same statement decrying that sampler usage was just "chimps pushing buttons" and it was inferred that obviously we should know the difference.
What bothers me is that, you know, for a long period of what would have been my 'easily informed' musical life I would have accepted that sort of statement without any sort of insubordination whatsoever.
Pope you think I'm being facetious but I take international relationships much more seriously than local ones. We will discuss and work around your sched. accordingly.
