I haven't played since Ruby/Sapphire. The original ones. I'm so lost but fuck it I use the Water starter cause that final evolution.

Didn't finish playing Sun yet, but I finally was able to get myself a Gengar and Alakazam for the first time in ages. I should go back and finish it.

Dude you can get the 90s originals for like $9 on steam right now and F3 and NV for like $5 a pop. Getbem all and startbfrom the beginning.

F4 CAN be awesome. Just be selective about what you want to include on your experience.
My advice would be don't get too involved in settlements from the beginning (as in don't really bother, that shit really interferes) and maybe don't go apeshit crafting a base?

Weapons/armour crafting fucking rules, there are some great story arcs and mostly it's a pretty cool wasteland.
Enemies can get tedious. But some people don't find that (it's my biggest gripe. Too many varieties of the same thing and a legendary of every variety with a lame as shit weapon/armour drop mostly).
The DLC really changes shit up (Far Harbour is pretty fucking great).

Ditto this, just playing Far Harbour now but it's great. I forgot that I had purchased all the DLC. Far Harbour is so far much better than Nuka World. I mean Nuka World was pretty great but rather repetitive.

I'm also playing the exact opposite character than usual. I'm usually a sneak/sniper and lean towards chaotic good choices. This time I'm full melee and chaotic evil. Changes the game considerably.

Yeah I'm gonna play wasteland Tony Stark this time and I'll do an evil Black Widow on my next run.
