sub-proto ftw (i mean is it really worth having a separate thread for "aggressively labeled" prognotprog which is really psych and/or good-old fashioned jammed-up heavosity for the sub-handful of ilfers who like both the full cape and the leather trousers?)
speaking of which, here's something of similar ilk (featuring a coupla names that may be known to boomerrock aficionados)
Amongst my favorite prog albums are these two. I have no idea if they are widely known (or already mentioned in the thread several times, I tried to browse back a few years only) but especially the first Phoenix song on Cantafabule (Invocatie) is perfect. And Osiris is just the best prog band in know from Bahrain! Some totally catchy songs on this album.

if they have been posted it would have been awhile, but your post gets extra bonus points for invoking the wearing of the cape in Romania and Bahrain, which are def not the point of origin for lots of well-known prog.
Phoenix is known to me and right up my alley (actually makes for a nice follow-on from Axis imo), but Osiris is something I've only heard about and not yet dug into, so cheers!
Phil Collins might've brung the Artful Dodger, but Ol' Capey is rawkin' those Fagin gloves
