I can tolerate slap bass used in the right way...I love Sly and the Family Stone or Funkadelic...BUT I HATE PRIMUS MORE THAN ANYTHING.
And like 80% of the musicians I know love them and 99% of the bassists in Milwaukee try to play like Claypool. It makes my blood boil.
Les Claypool is like the musical equivalent of Nathan Bedford Forrest. A legacy of intolerable idiocy that has no place in modern society.

Yeah, but Forrest Gump was named after him. Doesn't that kinda make it worth it?

I respect Les Claypool for his abilities in the tapping arena.
Tapping on bass is rad.
Slap is too, but it got milked in the wake of the RHCP wannabes.
Tapping puts us into Victor Wooten territories, but can be rad if used tastefully, like all techniques.
As DoS put it, "those people" tend to fuck it up for everybody.
As is the case with most things.

Oh yeah, tapping. That's even worse.
Sometimes people get so good at playing an instrument, they forget how to play music.

Wait, are you defending Les Claypool or the guy who founded the KKK?

If Joe Biden ran for President, I'd consider working on the campaign.

He's got that "wanna share a beer with him" appeal.
I actually would look into getting involved politically even as a resume building thing, but I don't have the free time. If anyone, I would get on the Russ Feingold campaign.

I apparently not only talk in my sleep, I sing as well. My missus heard me singing Roxanne by the Police earlier this morning. I don't know why that song. Haven't heard it in ages.

It's better than humping in your sleep.... I may be guilty of that...

There is nothing wrong with that. Get it anytime you can and enjoy it I say. Just hope you don't say another ones name except the one you're with. You could get yourself into some serious trouble otherwise

As a mathrock guy, that stung.
