I assume that the sample holding will happen when going out of Mode2 or Mode3. What about
when going out of Mode1? Does any audio carry over? I can't imagine how since that mode is a

It will hold between all three modes. Mode 1 is not really a sampler but since you can set the length of the delay buffer, so whatever is in that buffer will be taken as the "sample" when you move from mode 1 to 2.

Saw Godspeed tonight and they had a CT5 on the drone board. Random info, I guess, but it made me extra excited to get a V3 for my tabletop.

You're lucky man! My favorite band (with Radiohead and Sigur Rus). I missed their gigs in France (just can't when they were here).

Hopefully after this run though we are able to produce without preorders, ie we can just announce we have some available. In the last year we have gone from 2 people to about 8 now involved in some way, so hopefully this will lead to more traditional sales models, and better availability in 2016.
