When I was about 12 I stole an old phone generator from my dads parts cupboard. He was an electronics tech for a government run telecommunications company, so he had lots of old vintage phone related shit around the house. The smartarse kid down the road had been annoying me for some time. I attatched a piece of copper pipe to some lamp cord I found and hooked it up to the generator. I then talked the smartarse into holding on to the copper pipe. One in each hand. I told him it would only be a little tingle. Much like puting your tongue on a 9v battery. Told him it feels better if he licked the palms of his hands first. Then when everything was ready to go I started winding. I must of wound that thing furiously for about 30 seconds watching his whole arms twitching, tears streaming down his cheeks. Fuck it was funny. I got such a belting from my old man but it was worth it. I bumped into that little smartarse about 2 weeks ago. Hadn't seen for about 20 years. He was still a smartarse. I still think it was worth it.

her instagram is one of the few celebrity accounts i actually enjoy

Also, for the first time since I got into pedals I have no fuzz on my board. I realized how much I love delay/verb/pitch shifting with low mix levels just making a great big wash in the background, laid out an effects chain that sounded super sechsy to me and then when i went to lay it out on the board had no room left for Dirt.

I had the same revelation about a year ago and I never looked back.

thanks alexa. not bad. not entirely my kind of thing but not bad for what it is. am glad you had a great time.
i generally have a problem with 'cute' in female artists. i think it can be hard to pitch it cleanly so it doesn't come out as infantile cop-out (not talking about grimes here, don't know enough of her to comment, just generally). to spin the genders, the male artist cop-out button is 'aggression'. too easy to be shouty and macho when you have run out of ideas. insecurity will always show through. though we all are.

my go-to girl for 'cute' (even quarantined in inverted commas it's a problematic word. i don't mean cute-butt i mean something innocent/childishly sincere/playful about the intonation of her voice) is lauren mayberry of chvrches. i love her voice. a voice for lullabies. her phrasing is so wistful, melancholy, happy-sad. a voice that can break hearts at a thousand paces. it's a bit depressing she has to take so much shit because she has a pretty face to go with the voice. douches will be douches. i hope it doesn't distract her from her art. or make her hate people and go ivory tower. i've been there.

my original comment was more testimony to how fragmented and patchy my listening has become of late. internet makes it so easy to succumb to 'bubbleism'. i know pockets of scenes intimitely, every artist every track, yet simultaneously know nothing at all about huge swathes of other stuff. it's funny and maybe a shame too. there is so much stuff out there.
i remember the great john peel saying that one rainy day he added up how many albums he had, then added up how many years he had left to live, and realised that he owned some tracks he would never ever hear again. and that realisation really saddened him. and that's before factoring in all the stuff to come.
but (thanks to you) at least i have heard grimes now. back down to one notch off village idiot again.

is that even legal? certainly not right. it's like a meal without vegetables. or not using toilet paper. you are not at all well.

I definitely have an unashamed crush on her.

I really like her music too and consider myself very good at separating the art from the artist.

For example, I hope it goes without saying I don't like Miley Cyrus' music, but I'd gladly fuck her brains out, especially love the short hair look.

Yep! Lauren is really cute too, and I love the band.
For me, she is the"I just saw a puppy/kitty and I wanna strangle it to death with hugs"-cute, and with Grimes its more of an admiration, cuz she's just playing and experimenting and not giving a fuck and still becoming world famous. And I view her as innocent, as a kid; but not in the "didn't have sex yet" innocence that Lauren emits, but more like "Being a grown-up is a social scam, so fk off and go have fun".

Opinionz and perspectives and stuff
I kinda gave up to listening to everything and keeping "up to date" and I just take whatever my ear sticks to and enjoy it. Music comes to me.

Emilie Bresson. Cutest girl in music.
Will also create sounds that will kill you like a giant queen mantis tearing you apart with psychic death rays, using only her voice.

Like that's the point where if you're a writer you should have some honor and just kill yourself.

Then again, people go nuts over this Game of Thrones, soap opera bullshit also. I guess half-assed hack writing goes a long way.

When I was 18, me and a bunch of people rented a cabin in the woods for the weekend. I knew two of the seven people there. The first night I got super drunk and high (as I always do when I'm surrounded by strangers), got naked in front of everyone, jerked off and came on the bonfire. Needless to say, that night I had a threesome with a couple (no sword fighting/balls touching). Those two people have later become celebrities in Norway (and actually one of them in Europe, sort of), and whenever I see them acting all high and mighty in interviews, I think of them that night when they got all horny because a dude shot his goo onto a fire and get my lol on. Moral: Doing stupid/disgusting shit isn't always such a bad thing. And every time someone has sex with me a star is born. :)*
