Okay, yeah, definitely want a double cutaway Les Paul Special now.

It's funny, because Double Cut LP's are the ONLY Gibson other than SG's that I enjoy the shape of.

I can agree with you on that, I find Gibsons to be really tacky or really boring looking. Love the more stripped down models though.

I have a real soft spot for the 335 Dot. Can't afford Gibson so I got an Epiphone Dot Flametop Deluxe back in 2003. In cherry sunburst finish. One of the last of the Made In Korea Epi's. I am saving up for a kit build SG that I want to stain with black ink and finish in satin oil of some kind.

Full house. Just swap the white EGC for my steel bodied Hamilton that should be finished soon...

Wooden necks are for the weak.

After owning 2 EGC's I've got to say that I'm pretty sold on the entire concept to the point where I kinda think it should be the new standard for guitar construction. The sustain and playability is pretty awesome. They have a livelyness to them that I just don't have in my wood guitars. I'm not saying it's better, but I think it's better for me most of the time. I can't imagine spending several grand on a wood guitar in the near future...a few hundred bucks sure especially if it's something different from what I already have but I think my future big ticket guitars will be aluminum or if someone can make an affordable version of titanium or something like that. I still feel like carbon fibre never totally got a fair shake.

Titanium is brutally expensive.
But would be so rad.

Yeah, I've got a hard time spending anything more than a few hundred on non-aluminum guitars for sure

Yeah but I figure somebody will try and experiment with some other metal...the knife guys certainly have a million different types of steel and such. I'm holding out for a full Damascus neck
