Yeah that show was nuts! It was great! Incredibly inspiring to watch him play so many different things at once. He also did some really cool tricks with delay that I am excited to try out.

i got there early and they let us hang in the downstairs bar for the hour before the doors opened. $2 drinks! and the barkeep gave me the second one free because i'd tipped him for the first! i got right on the rail about 2/5 of the way from the left side, pretty much right in front of Efrim. my ears are still singing even now....i'm gonna have to get some of those expensive custom-made earplugs because i'm getting too old to fuck my ears up any more. i'm sorry i couldn't get a good look at the pedalboards, but they were extensive. Efrim had TWO of them. all the guitarists played Les Pauls, two with hums and Efrim a goldtop with P90s and a Bigsby B5. whoever the guitarist on the right is played a Jazzmaster with wide-range humbuckers on one piece. it was just beautiful. made me not really even mind hitting one of the stanchions pulling into the parking lot and fucking up the right side of my car, or having my celly die before i could get all the way out of DC. happily i found a freeway, and only would up going ~30 miles out of my way on the way home, and made it home before 3:30. 10/10 would do again. in fact if the next show/last show of the tour wasn't all the way in New Haven, CT i'd go again tonight.
