The shit show that's brewing is better than any show out on TV right now.

This could not be a crazier election cycle.

It's like real life is now being written by reality TV writers or something.

Nice, Obama has just indicated he's pretty much ready to nominate another Justice.

Was thinking at first that there's no way congress would approve any nominee while Obama's still in office, but a friend just posted this tidbit on FB:
"The longest Supreme Court confirmation process from nomination to resolution was Brandeis, at 125 days. Obama has 342 days left in office."
This is reassuring, but our congress of late seems to be capable of many idiotic exceptions. It'd be great if he could get another one in there, just for some damn reassurance in this fucking nutso election.

Well, as snippy just said, this just adds more drama.

The one thing that I think could get very, very interesting is Donald Trumps attacks at George W. I mean, he pretty much said what most people think. You started a war for no reason and 9/11 happened on your watch. His reaction to that shit still doesn't make sense. He was more of a dullard than Jeb even, which is kind of hard to say. hahaha. Jeb is sooooooooo fucking stupid. hahaha.

Jeb looked pretty good during the debate, though. I mean say what you will about those guys (and you should) but there's something to be said for knowing how to debate when you're up on that stage: Trump pretty obviously has no idea.

I think Jeb has been pushed to be able to semi debate, but he definitely is a dummy still. Trump uses insults as a debate tactic, which admittedly, I find amusing and laugh quite a bit when he fucks with them. The whole Republican party is a mess though. I couldn't vote for any of them. I used to think Trump was ok, but he just won't stop talking. So now I despise them all.
Like I said before Sanders is probably the only logical one I see, but I just don't know if he can get any or even close to what he wants accomplished if in office. I mean he'd need a almost fully democratic/liberal Congress to get shit done. If it isn't, he's up shit creek. Look at all the stuff Obama has tried to do and been stopped by Congress. It's nuts. This country is a mess.
I do enjoy a good laugh though.
Anyone watch the Hulu Triumph the Dog special? OMFG it's hilarious! When he's making fun of Trump's supporters with that song! hahahahaha. Watch it if you haven't. So fucking funny.

I have heard a few people say that we don't need Sanders in the white house, we need about 450 of him in Congress.
While I agree with that, I also think that the career politicians will give their constituents what they want (in order to keep their jobs). I wouldn't mind if some mild leftists got to do to Congress what the Tea Party has been doing for the last eight years or so, provided they were proper pinkos.

I like a lot of what Brandsmannen laid down a page or two back. Granted I am primarily of Scando descent four to five generations removed and from the other side of his country's western border
