I dunno, I guess I just tend to play places with dark stages? I have no trouble telling if my pedals are on or not, even with the regular red LEDs...

Could be it, I sometimes find it reaaally hard to tell with stage lights pointed right at my face. Then again, if it isn't that obvious when a pedal is on or off, either you can't hear your amp properly or there's very little point having the pedal at all.

Disarm D'arcy, what's your general impression of those Hartman pedals?

The pedal oon the underside is a Wampler Clean Buffer.
Hartman's are great. Theo does an awesome job with these. Faithfull recreations of the original pedals we love with modern premium features TB, low noise, top notch components... The BC108 works great and is buffer friendly as well as capable of being fed by an external power supply, which is nice as most of the FF clones out there are PITA regarding those two features.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I was just commenting in the flanger thread that I'd like to try the Hartman flanger. Nice to hear good things about 'em.

Likewise with my Rat Tail. Which is funny, cause it's kind of my always on pedal. So it kind of aim my foot in the general direction of my pedal board and kick around until something sounds good.

If you're into the non-deluxe Electric Mistress sound, you'll surely love it. From what I've gathered, it's the very same grain, as lushy and complex as the vintage EM but no noise, no hiss, no volume drop, standard DC input and smaller footprints. Best of both worlds

If a few things I've on sale get sold, I plan on ordering one.

If you do get one, I'd be interested to hear what you think of it. I'm a little hesitant to lay down that much cash on a basic flanger. (Even if it is supposed to be a really nice sounding basic flanger.) For that much money it better sound pretty freakin' amazing. I'm still not won over yet.

I've had two...I loved the sounds but they were always noisy in my setup. I've settled on a HBE frostbite flanger which is just a lush but less noise imo.

CS-9's are so under appreciated. I should have never traded mine.

Thanks, bronzetalon, I like what I've heard of the FrostBite too.
