I fucking hate Time Warner cable. HATE. Service has been good for the last 8 years, then the last 2 have been horrible. There shit has been all over the place.... blacked out channels, service interruptions, the list goes on.

And on top of it, prices jumped to an ass-raping price. Their attitude is "well, if you don't like it... there are other services out there"

Do I swich to FIOS?

I'm in the same boat with AT&T.
I called this morning because my DVR wasn't working and I was told it would be a 30 minute wait to speak to a representative.
This is all after I had spent 30 minutes going through all their "Troubleshooting" bullshit.

Yeah, they all fucking suck.

Think I'll do what my neighbor does... he switches carriers almost every 2 years when the "new customer" price goes bye-bye.

He's switched almost 6 times for his cable, internet, cell, and home phone.

Fuck them all.

I'm considering dropping cable and just keeping the internet, paying an extra 50+ bucks a month for like 2 channels I actually watch kinda pisses me off. One of my biggest peeves about every provider I've had is getting charged for anything they have to fix that isn't just the main cable line on the telephone lines or w/e. They ran the lines and I pay them a pretty hefty monthly fee and they want to charge me 30 bucks just to send a guy out to look because one of their cables running from the street to the box outside my house is crapping out?

I wanted to send my M9 to get an upgrade, but it would cost me the price of the upgrade + shipping there + (the price of the unit+shipping+customs 10% + taxes 25%)
If I could escape that problem with the directions you just gave, that would be a fucking lifesaver!

Yup, by proving that you got it for free, you can avoid paying anything. But you have to prove it which essentially means that someone on the Line6 (that's M9 company, right?) would have to lie for you about the cost. They won't do that because it's actually a crime (fraud?) that they could get in trouble for. You might get away with only paying customs for the upgrade if you manage to prove that you already owned the unit before. Some sort of bill should work. Or paypal stuff, whatever. And then you would have to provide documentation (emails etc.) that you sent it in for that upgrade.

But aren't you in the US? I never heard of anyone having trouble with US customs. It's just the old world that protects their markets. you guys are all free trade, right? ;)
Joke, but for real: never heard of any trouble with US customs.

I'm from Europe too, Croatia, that's why I'm asking. Hm. I don't have any proof that the M9 is mine (2nd owner), but I'll see what I can do. Thanks.
Also, I'm afraid that the shipping cost would be huge -_-

If you're interested in my pedal and PM me about it like 3 times asking questions, at least be a nice guy and bump my thread. Isn't that just common courtesy?

Writing Essays: the one time in life when being able to make an argument and support it well in a very concise and efficient manner is a bad thing.

I actually know that I myself am guilty of forgetting to this from time to time. So I'm just as much of a dick as everyone else.
