I've nearly been with my girl for 4 years
And it's still great, I know I'm very lucky

The idea of marriage and babies freaks me out
I especially get anti kid whenever parents bring them in while I'm working. Too expensive and noisy
Someday maybe I'll foster care

This right here is a huge reason of why I'm single right now, and for the near conceivable future.

yupp

I wish media and pop culture didn't push romance and commitment so hard; there's so much more to life, and much better things to focus on at at a younger age.

also I've had a pretty good experience using Tinder so far, don't know what kind of person that makes me but I feel fine about it. It's helped me improve my social skills and given me self confidence, it's kinda nice.

and so many people will worry about you or pity you if you've gone without a significant other for an extended period. it CAN be a choice rather than a consequence and there's nothing inherently wrong with that.
if I don't feel like i've met the right person yet then I shouldn't feel pressured to buddy up with someone just because they're good looking enough or whatever.
it's nice not having to rely on affection or sex to function, and not craving it from people i have no real connection with. there are so many horny, clingy people out there and it's annoying as fuck.

The whole long term partner thing aside, I think I would like to experience the whole kids thing but considering how bad my mental illness is and the apparently genetic nature of it I'm posed with an ethical dilema. Well, I say dilema but really if you have kids knowing you have some genetic problem (especially after it's detected) you're pretty much a selfish cunt. Plus, having my kid killing themself isn't high on my list of wanted life experiences. I suppose I could always adopt or something similar but creating a being that is a smoosh of both your own and your partners DNA is pretty cool.

Well, I think that until I look at my older cousins and their pain in the arse kids. Probably only something you can truly understand from inside the parent experience bubble.

I think it's not impossible that we will advance far in eugenics to eliminate genetic problems such as your own. I mean it's all speculation, but we seem to be on to some pretty crazy stuff. You might be able to have kids someday without that being an issue!

We all have a duty, as artists, to point these things out. :hobbes:

You mother fuckers in your 20s have no idea what romance is.
Its all just games to get your knobs wet.

Quit complaining. Its not like that shit's even rough.

My problem is that nobody else wants to acknowledge that.

Yeah the little old dude wouldn't work when I submitted the post. He showed up in the preview just fine. :idk:

Thanks, Chank.

Awe c'mon, sfritz, dry your eyes. You'll find a guy/gal who digs your romantic sensibilities.

Just remember, 95-9% of all people on the planet are shit. That includes potential candidates for bedroom shenanigans. It takes a LONG time to wade through the sewer to find gold sometimes, but when you do...
ILF is of course where the amazing 1% hang out.

I have started doing yoga daily and haven't had a bad day since I started. it's helped my stomach and anxiety problems too. it helps wake me up in the morning. I also feel less tired and uncomfortable in general. i think everyone should give it a go!
