It was that straight when I bought it (in the fall of 2000 is memory serves). There's a little wrinkle at the tip of the passenger fender and a small divot on the trunk, both were already there. It spent a few years outside though, so the rust has gotten more of a foothold.

Royal purple metal flake would be something else. I could wind up with a purple squareback, though if I buy another car all the cars are going to see more neglect - because I can't afford to buy another car... still tempting though.

I finally got around to digging into the wasted wheel cylinder in the squareback, everything was washed out in brake fluid. It's nice having more brake pedal and less wasted push though. I need to adjust the shoes on the passenger side and hopefully earn a bit more.

I also noticed more axial play in that wheel than I would like to see, but I cannot find a spec on how much is within tolerance, and seem to recall reading something along the lines of not being able to do anything about it anyway.

Going to get a new pair of tires tomorrow so all four wheels will match.

Matchin' wheels are always nice. :thumb:

Don't go lookin' in this junkyard though:

I asked Google Maps how long it'd be to drive from Ushuaia, Argentina to Puerto Williams, Chile: 42 hours

Then, I asked how long of a walk it'd be: 3 hours

Also, this's kinda cray:

That is amazeballs.
I've had a hankering for the future retro thing lately. That has certainly piqued my interest.

That squareback is fucking PERFECT. Love it.

I've been scoping out my local CL/FB for a cool set of 15" wheels with good rubber for my Miata for months, and the wheels I've been hoping for got posted half an hour ago. Wanted to get them right now, but the seller isn't available until tomorrow. Fingers crossed he doesn't flake on me.

Oooo, those look sharp.

Thanks for the kind words! I'll pass them along, she always runs a bit better after a compliment.

The Harbor Freight oldschool bubble type wheel balancer makes a beautiful resonating, binaural beat tone when struck.
Not that I just spent ten minutes dinging it with a wrench and listening...
